There's no reason it wouldn't work, but why don't you backup your emunand with emunand tool and try it yourself ?

Yes its has been. Looks like only 4 titles were updated for the O3DS. Home Menu, Internet Browser, NVer, and CVer.

Same goes for the N3DS too.

Here are the changes:

EU region got a new EULA CFA instead of a new Home Menu.

Japan didn't get a new Home Menu or EULA CFW. They just got the NVer, CVer and Internet Browser.

CVer is the Console Version so that always gets updated when a new version comes out.

Since only the US got a new Home Menu that might explain why only the US has the issue with Gateway's Multi-Rom Menu.

rxtools v3.0b5 on my o3ds 9.9.0-26J eumnand work good!

but i can not install internet(0004003000008802.cia) which v4096 change to v6149,if i only install v4096 replace original,the eshop will tell you to update even you had updata.

on 9.8 eumnand,i change v4096 to v5121,and it is work,i can install it and into eshop without warning

i want keep the 7.1FW internet(0004003000008802.cia v4096) on 9.9 eumnand to use some Spider

i find on 9.8 eumnand if you only install v4096 replace 9.8FW original(v5121),you will get warning to update when you want into eshop,but if you use 3dsNUS change version number v4096 to v5121,and install replace the 9.8FW original,you will into eshop normal

this time,i want do the same thing,change version number v4096(7.1.0-10) to v6149(9.9.0-26),and install it,but failed,FBI can not install success

There's a thing I don't like of rxTools: Data Configuration Suite. The fact that it makes rxmode boot faster is good, but the fact that it applies NATIVE_FIRM patches during the first boot isn't a good thing. Because if I apply some changes to a firm patch, like MyThread, the user would see the update only if he deleted data folder and redo the first boot! I wrote this post only for alerting the users: i'll probably move the applying NATIVE_FIRM patches process from first boot to every rxmode boot. This means that once I'll change this thing, the users will have to delete the data folder and redo the configuration.
