Hardware Bricked 3ds

So I downloaded rxTools and it bricked my 3ds. I'm not exactly sure what I did wrong, I had it successfully loaded up, I restarted it my 3ds, I went to dump my nand and make a backup of it on my computer, I hit the reboot button (select) in the rx menu and it bricked from there. What are my options?

like you get a black screen when you boot your 3DS with no sd card or game inserted after pulling the battery in and out or do you have a blue screen?

black screen, no sd card or cartridge. I pulled the battery and same thing. I'm currently leaving the light on and waiting for the battery to fully die now

Nothing has happened, I looked online to see if there was a safe mode key combination too, tried that and nothing came up. I let it fully die, I plugged it back in and tried it again. I don't know what to say

The only fix is a hardmod. There are 4 points on the 3DS mobo that you can solder to an SD adapter and rewrite the NAND backup to the 3DS. You will have to solder (no way around it), or find a reputable person to do it for you.

I just bricked my o3DS yesterday by messing too much with sysNAND. Anyone live in the southeastern Indianapolis, Indiana area of the US that can do a hard mod for me? I have zero soldering experience, nor do I have the materials. Preferably at no charge, although I can pay up to $20, but I can only do so in 2 weeks, since I get paid then. If this isn't the right place for this, can a mod direct me to the proper thread(s), and move this post there? Thanks.

Hundshamer in this thread does hard mod in US for about $20 I think. You will need to pay postage as well to him. Shoot him a PM.

$20 plus shipping for a simple restore. More for a permanent mod. I just didn't want to float my own boat. LOL For those watching I'm in Illinois.

Why would it cost more to leave the wires there instead of taking them out?

Parts and service mostly. The o3DS, n3DS, and n3DS XL require holes to be drilled in the shell. The o3DS XL is only $30 plus shipping as it is the easiest to route wires and requires no case modding. With a standard restore I keep the SD adapter and there's no need for the JST port. I also have no obligation to make sure the customer knows how to use the mod, if there's not one installed.

yeah pretty much what hundshamer said, but also with just doing a unbrick/downgrade one time thing i just have a SD adapter left wired up for that sole purpose, no ports just the adapter, solder 4 wires, downgrade remove them and store them for next time meaning i can use 1 set of wires and 1 SD adapter to downgrade/unbrick whatever number of 3DS's, also with it being temporary it doesn't have to be secure or pretty, if i didnt do ports and only downgrades/unbricks each system would only take say 10-20 mins from opening it up to closing it back up,where as once you add the port in you have to make sure its all secure, make sure it looks "pretty-ish" (well just not a ugly mess) explain how to use it to people, all of which takes up a lot more time compared to throwing in a couple of wires and removing them once the job is done, and as they say "time is money"
