I was pretty iffy on Retroarch at first, (I'm quite skeptical of homebrews that say they do lots of things) But it surely is one of the best things to happen to the Wii, and I ended up using it for everything, except maybe Super Scope/Zapper games and a few other things like cheats when i'm stuck playing with someone who wastes lives like no one business (Which seem like they will be supported in 1.2).

I've been looking for this for a long time.

Not that interested. I use emulators a lot for my Shield, but prefer individual ones (like the .emu programs).

I'd be more intrigued if one of the GBA or Genesis cores included pre-installed cheats (which the current GBA and Genesis emulators don't have). Or if the DS core had a resolution upgrade tool which provided substantial results (something Drastic doesn't provide).

Just having a tinker on the PC version, seems like a fantastic update! Love the new GUI, very PPSSPP like... not sure how (or if at all) it'll transfer to the Wii though.... the new cores on the PC version are quite impressive in number too... again be interesting to see how many (if any) new uns make the Wii... Per Core & Per Game remapping and configs? Yum yum! :D

EDIT: Christ on a bike this is a MASSIVE update!! The Game & Watch games/emulator is seriously good, and there's loads more to talk about that's new - in fact too much so I'm not gonna bother  Huge props to the authors of this - I've never bothered with RA on PC but certainly will now! Off to grab the android version for my Shield and phone, and can't wait for the Wii version (surely can't be anywhere near as impressive as this ...can it??)

It seems a few issues popped up at the last moment, in the forums they said that it may take a few days to fix everything.

We'll just have to wait a little more.

Someone asked for the Wii release on the forums (Nintendo Section) and that's where I read that they encountered problems.
Just read that , lemme guess, by the slightest, teeniest, tiny-tiniest chance is that Nintendonerd character actually the_randomizer in disguise??
The Wii version delay's a shame for sure, but after having a gander something clearly came up - the guys should really update that blog with this info, mainly because of characters like that nintendonerd, but it'll come soon anyway by the looks of it!

Yeah, it was that Nintendonerd character. Although, to be fair, it could be asked for anyone after seeing the slightest delay (humanity never disappoints, you know). Personally, I don't mind a delay, and I never did. Why would I want something with problems? Why would I want for other people to release their work in a bad state? It's bad enough with the game industry nowadays (special wink for Ubisoft) already.

I always hated the idea of rushed/unfinished games, and this is pretty much the same. After all, it's not like 1.0.0.2 was broken/unusable or something (and i've been using it very often lately, to the point of changing resolutions becoming pure instinct).

Sadly I don't know if the cores will receive upgrades or not. I think since 1.0.0.2 released there has been plenty of time, but of course, we have to remember they work in quite a few systems and obviously everyone has lives outside this.

that said, I would love to see the GBA core get even better (I would love to play some of the FF games in there), and maybe a little the SNES, I remember trying Romancing Saga 3 and getting pretty slow at the menu (But not the rest of the gameplay, which is pretty weird!).

I also don't know if we will get any surprises. I've been kind of disconected for a long time, I didn't even try the nightlies.

So, who cares if it is me? What I do on other forums is no one's business lol. Besides, the Wii version will come out in a couple of days, that's not really much of a delay to be honest.

Per core & per game config and remapping - even if there's no new cores at all, that's not useless! :D

Provided they actually work this time, last time they tried that, it was pretty FUBAR, was it not?

So this update is useless then.

Hey no worries man, I've just got a sixth sense in guessing who a member is  (as for your reply on this, well true.... but it does work on the PC version)

Well about new cores I don't mind too much, as I rather see improvements to the ones already existing. But I would enjoy a lot a PSX one (Playing something like, I don't know, Vandal Hearts or Breath of Fire 3 again could be pretty damn sweet) but, eh, what are you going to do...

I don't know if those two games are playable in WiiSX, though.
