Ribbons Under Temp Profiles

So, I just joined a few days ago (hey, guys!), and I was wondering how do Temp members acquire ribbons under their profile pic in forums? I currently have two ribbons making me an "advanced member". Is it that you need a certain number of likes, post a number of messages, time spent on the site, etc. that earns you another ribbon?

Edit: I tried looking at previous posts regarding this topic, but I couldn't find any. Nor was there any detailed description of this in the Help section.
