Hacking GBA Black Screen error.

So i tried to install gba roms by cia but then i when i load it up, no "nintendo 3ds", just goes to black.

and i installed the cia file, but then again, tried to run a gba rom, i get a black screen.(This dosent happens with Nes roms tho.)

I do not understand.
I go to gateway mode and play it from the home menu.

You cannot play GBA games in GW mode.

Those hacks only work with other CFW.

Ok i did this, and i successfuly installed it. but when i went to install the gba cia to "Location:NAND", i got an error.

You don't install gba CIA's to your Nand, you install them to your SD card. Use something like title manager or dev menu.

Yeah, i did that to SD also. But then they appear in the home menu, and i start it up and i get a blackscreen.

You need to boot into Sysnand not Emunand and use Pasta CFW.

Why are you doing all these dangerous things without knowing what you're doing? Reread everything you think you know and learn what certain terms mean fist, I can't help you if you don't know what im saying. I'm surprised you have not bricked your Sysnand yet.

I know this stuff and what i am doing, just not Pasta CFW.(Surprised?, I also use CFW on PsVita as well. )

I know this stuff and what i am doing, just not Pasta CFW.(Surprised?, I also use CFW on PsVita as well. )

Just be really carefull installing things to your sysnand! Only install aplications. You gba games won't work on gatewaymode. They work on pasta cfw sysnand. You can follow the tutorial on it's thread. Good luck.

The only way to run GBA:

Old3DS:

Patched RX Tools
PBT
CakesCFW
Pasta

New3DS:

Pasta

There are no other method of launching GBA games. GW patches don't allow for AGB_FIRM to be accessed.

AFAIK only pasta cfw and roxas cfw with signatures patched can play gba games.
