Hacking New 3DS

Hello.

Im getting the new 3ds in the next days, can you recommend any card for it?

Also, is there aleady a pokemon omega rubin & alpha saphir for it? Should be on german.

since ur getting ur 3ds at such a late date it will likely be updated past 9.2 then ur only option is sky3ds. as for pokemon just get the game for ur region 3ds since sky3ds doesnt remove region lock. btw all main pokemon games on 3ds all regions have all languages os u don't need to worry about that.

I just understood that i should buy the sky3ds, but i didnt understand the part about the game...

If you have N3ds with fw <9.2, you can use pasta for FREE

not unless you can find a N3DS with a firmware lower than 9.2, even then you generally need to get a copy of cubic ninja or OOT

If you have N3ds with fw <9.2, you can use pasta for FREE

you still need a copy of CN or OOT for that right (at the very least to be able to use the system settings exploit)?

CN : Cubic Ninja
OOT : Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time

You can not use r4 on new 3ds (unless for DS game if its not a blocked card I think).

If the 3DS version is >9.2, forget all of this. Sky3DS is your only option.

I haven't kept totally up to date on pasta but I don't belive you can use the r4 card (in fact without flashcart timewarp you shouldn't be able to use it at all).

CN = Cubic Ninja - A discontinued game used to launch the ninjhaxs exploit via a QR Code

OOT = The legend of zelda: Ocarina of time 3DS - A discontinued game used to launch an exploit via an exploited save file (requires some way to load the initial save file)

All this aside you still have to find a 9.2 N3DS and that is growing harder and harder as the days go by. At this point, although imo gateway or pasta is superior, the sky3ds is your best option.

at this point here are the options:

N3DS with a firmware higher than 9.2:
-Sky3ds

N3DS with a firmware lower than 9.2:
-sky3ds
-gateway (req OOT/CN)
-pasta (req CN)


There have been RUMORS of a new ninjhaxs exploit that can be used at higher firmwares however considering the quality of the rumors on these forums I would take that with a saltmine of salt.

The MSET has already been installed in that video though. Zelda/CN is still needed one time for downgrading mset. But there are people on the forum who will downgrade&install MSET for you free of charge.

But when you buy the n3DS, check the serial number to make sure you get a hackable version.
Is it a XL? There's a serial number list for XL here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/n3ds-xl-firmware-by-version-number.381479/
Basically just try to find a serial number that's below the ones where 9.4 started appearing. The serial numbers will be different for the non-XL though and I don't think there's a list for it.

Yes R4 cards will work on the N3DS. I have a R4i SDHC although I understand R4iGold is a better card.

The R4 card will let you play DS and emulate NES. SNES emulation is limited and GBA emulation isn't possible.

Sky3DS is expensive, but it does play retail .3DS carts [no eShop cia]. You can also go online if you use a private header. Personally, I like the Sky option since I can stay on current FW -- I like the dorky streetpass games.

Gateway requires lower firmware, but lets you play retail .3DS games as well as eShop games.
