1 TB Xbox One console announced with a new controller

Microsoft has announced a new Xbox One console that has 1 TB of space capacity. Included with the console is the new revision of the XB1 controller in which you can insert a 3.5mm headset for voice chatting online.
In selected regions, Microsoft is including Halo: The Master Chief Collection with the console. The price of the console will be $400, while the 500GB one will be $350.

The controller will be sold separately for $65.

Sticks still in the wrong place...

I'm curious to know if there's anything else different about the design other than the headset port. But probably not.

Great, now that I have 4 controllers, they decide to release a freaking controller with a 3.5 input. :(

"for everyone wanting to upgrade the storage in their console, we're releasing the 1TB edition!"

Uh, how does that help existing XB1 owners to upgrade their storage?
Thanks a lot, MicroShaft.

Wut? That's how a proper controller works. Dunno how your broken fingers hold a controller. I assume you mangled them holding the shit wiiU elite controller too long.

The FCC filing kind of ruined the new controller layout and design update before the official announcement. Apart from that, it's a welcome update. The XB1 controller really seemed lacking compared to the PS4 controller in the audio field. I'm still rocking 4 360 wireless controllers so I don't see myself updating yet. Still, I'd be tempted to see the difference between the new controller and the 360 in general use :)

Took them long enough to include a 3.5 jack - hell, even Nintendo did it. Meanwhile I'm still gonna be stuck with one controller and the bulky headset adapter because I only play by myself, and on the off chance I play multiplayer, I use a 360 controller via CronusMAX for local 2 player.

1TB storage, though? Wish I had that.

Controller design is still sub-par until they start using the DualShock 4 thumbstick caps. Those things are the tits in an Xbox One controller. For anyone who HASN'T put those on their controller, I STRONGLY recommend you grab a pair from dealextreme for $3 and upgrade your Xbox One controller with them. World of difference.

Do the original caps really hurt your fingers? ...haven't played much in one, so I don't even know.

Not hurt, no, I just find the DS4 caps to be vastly superior. Plus the ridges on the inside of the Xbox One caps collect a crazy amount of hang hand gunk. Haven't seen that at all with the DS4 ones.

ah ...ok. I had heard people saying that when playing FFS with the Xbone controller, those caps would work as a sandpaper in your fingers..

..seems like it was exaggerated then

Internal memory doesn't matter much to me. I buy all my games physical so they only takes a couple minutes to install.

Great for people who buy all their games digital though since they will take HOURS to install even with a good download speed.

Finally a headphone jack on the controller - I'm super-happy about that. When I finally pick up an Xbone, I'll definitely choose a bundle with the revised controller.
