It's ok, the people doing this, and I'm sure you as well are absolutely brilliant. Nothing's too difficult for you all.

I'm not sure what that has to do with my post.
I meant, what exactly have you been waiting years for? Not much more than half a year ago 9.2 was the latest firmware and it was hackable.

AN eta on such a thing isn't simple. I some time in the future smea might release ninjhax for 9.7 BUT it might not be possible to launch CFW (smea definitely won't be aiming for it) if that is the case it is probably not that interesting for you (i assume you want to install .cias because of your other thread).
If you like homebrew in general though the easyest option is to just wait...

Well there is this,
https://twitter.com/smealum/status/602905203650666496

...which is homebrew only, but FirstLady originally had ninjhax so maybe a return to what she had would be sufficient for her.
nah, they tried to use sysupdater to update to 9.2 for maximum romz l0ader powerz....and semi-bricked....and had to update to 9.7 via the recovery menu to unbrick....leading to zero romz l0ader power.....i doubt homebrew will do for them :P

Remember, though, the quaint olden times when 9.2 was homebrew only. ;p
Maybe, knowing that, they'll stick around for the next soon to arrive. ;p

yeah, but in all fairness gateway announced they had an exploit for upto 9.2 before ninjhax was even released, probably down to the fact the knew ninjhax would probably lead to the exploit( or part of it) being blocked anyway if they held it back any longer and sky3ds had just been released

from what i have read any sort of ninjhax for 9.7 will be much more limited as there is still no viable alternative to the part that was blocked.....so unless GW have another trick up their sleeves the *potential* 9.7 ninjhax will have no bearing on any sort of developments on the 9.7 piracy front

but if they do have a trick prepared i would say they would of kept it back, but with pasta being released its going to go one of 2 ways....A. they burn any exploits they have in reserves to try garner the last sales...or B. they just quit all together and leave everything to stagnate with how it is right now (in terms of new kernel exploits)

I'll try get another 3DS guys. Someone's selling their 3DS XL for the equivalent of about $40.
If it's in decent condition, and more importantly, on a fw 9.2 or lower, I'll buy it tomorrow ;-)

Thanks

That's the spirit. : )

I still can't believe how unlucky you were downloading that bugged version of sysupdater in the small timeframe it was available. And from what I saw of the fixed commit, it was just a single ascii character off from being right. Anyway, I'm sure you'll have better luck with your new system.

Condolences on your 3DS which is now catatonic..... :(

I actually suggest not disposing of your current 3DS and buy a new one. As there's a possible chance of either a 9.7 exploit that could allow stuff or a possible way to fix that semi brick...... OR just sell it and buy another one which has the requires firmware.

I know, my timing was incredible, especially after waiting so long for something like this.
But that happens sometimes, it was just my turn to be unlucky, I guess.
At least I won't make that mistake again, and also good to know what caused it. ;)
