What the hell is that?
It is a subreddit that has over 27,000 subscribers and someone just posted about Datel Action Replay for Amiibo, Skylanders, and Disney Infinity toys to life products over 40 min ago. I was hoping some one knew more about it so of course I came to GBATemp to check out what all it can do and I'm guessing they are probably using hacked New3DS systems to keep all this working for them?

On Topic: Anyways I was interested in such a device and if someone can confirm its use I would be interested in it myself, as long as the user has control over it unlike that other crappy device that they claim dictatorship over. If its the same deal then I refuse to purchase this.

Thinking about ordering one of these. Are there any other competing products to compare it with?

Which other device? Would you elaborate?

I don't dislike amiibos, never had one myself, and don't really find it my style. But Datel making a device dedicated to that, rather than improve on Powersaves 3DS? I'm fantasy thinking, but damn would that device be a whole lot better if they allowed for save editing and direct support with PKHex. They'd offer the non-Japanese alternative to CyberSaves and make a lot of money in the process. Right now, the $20 I spent on Powersaves, is barely seeing a return. Web exploits do what Powersaves should've done, for free! The full cart backup, I'll hand that to them though.

Lol, just carted one of these. I think with a little tweaking it will prove useful for wii.
kids have all the skylanders all series of them too and all infinity and infinity 2.0 characters.
I've been working on a mod menu for wii to enable the characters without the need for the portal or the physical characters. I think this will help me transfer character data to the rest of my team. This way everyone else will be able to play these games without having to spend the money I did. (Over a thousand US dollars spent between spyros adventure, giants, swap force, and trap team. And to top that off they have all released infinity I lost track on how much has been spent on those. Kinda ready to pull my hair out with these damn figures)
Fatal Error.

Knock it off and get back on topic :teach:

Sorry Veho, context was needed... I won't do it again though..
I'm really interested in how this will work with amiibo.. I'm really looking for something I can backup all my amiibo and take with me on the go that will be a lot easier than carrying around my entire collection of over 35 amiibo... I'm sorta surprised no one has chimed in that has knowledge regarding this product... but maybe it is too early.. I'm down to throw money at it after some one reviews it and shows off the (great hopefully) features.

I doubt this thing will be any different than their other powersaves devices. That said, I have no real issue with their other devices either.

I mean sure it's no problem if you don't mind being baby handed codes and using only codes they use only, codes that may or may not be deleted at any given time without your permission.

Other than that its fine.

That Tom Nook amiibo in the package
Nice eye for detail, I think it's a hint for compatibility with that home designer game coming later this year.

Just wondering, if you could accomplish the same thing by editing your SSB3DS save making changes to equipment strength, etc and then feed it to your Amiibo? Such as making use of a badge editor utility.

If I were a coder I might have more issue with it, but while I used one, it did what I needed to do, and for the price point, I really couldn't complain. To each his own.

Also the Tom nook amiibo has been official Nintendo silhouettes since before Nintendo even launched amiibo. Go into any store with a display backdrop and you will see Tom book right on it. Same goes for various other banners and artworks.

Eh, what would be nice is a blank NFC figurine where you could dump the data of any Amiibo you want, allowing you to unlock everything you want. I know it'll be coming eventually because there'd be a crazy good market for them, but still.
