Hi everyone!

I'm having a very tricky issue with USB Loaders and AC:CF... I have a rip that I personally made from the disc I have, and I use WBFS format on all my drives. My 500GB drive does not seem to want to load the game on WiiFlow (it just shows 1/4 the loading bar full for too long of a time on IOS 222, 223, 249, 250, and AUTO), and NeoGamma doesn't even want to mount the same drive that WiiFlow can see perfectly. I just copied the same disc image to a 2GB flash drive and it loaded up perfectly through NeoGamma. I haven't tried it yet with WiiFlow. I'm just at a loss and have no clue how to get the 500GB to play it. I included a System Check I did a little while ago, just in case anyone needs it (also if anyone has any advice about my IOS setup please give me tips! IOS's somewhat confuse me hah!)

I just started getting back into my Wii after about a year or two of not playing it so I know some stuff is probably out of date...

Okay. I'll try that. I also switched HDDs. I had a 3TB external and a 250 GB internal. I swapped those and now I'm going to use the 250 GB for the Wii. Much more trustworthy of a drive. I'm going to set it up as FAT32. I have to split my images, though. Have you used FAT32/NTFS combo? How does that work (quality/reliability wise).

You can use Wii Backup Manager to copy the ISOs onto a FAT32 partition. It will convert them to WBFS files that are automatically split.

I would suggest upgrading your IOS249/250 to d2x v10, too.

Thanks for that. I'm going to be messing with some EmuNAND stuff and this post (yes I'm using WiiFlow but that guides seem to be the same) suggests that v10 could cause errors with that, so I'll try v9 first to make sure I have everything set up correctly. If it works, I'll bump up to v10 and test that out.

I downloaded the WiiFlow v4.2.3 Nintendont MasterMod Pack Full and it has a bunch of cIOS's in the Wad folder. From my experience I shouldn't just install them all, right? I don't want one app to be relying on something in one slot, update it, and overwrite/change stuff and have to figure it all out again (minus restoring NAND and going from there...).

[UPDATE] So I updated to v10 right off the bat and USB Loader GX sees my EmuNAND stuff, but WiiFlow won't. Oh well, it can see my Wii games as well. I just need to get accustomed to USB Loader.

It's the "alt" version of v10 that you don't want if you're using EmuNAND.
v10 (vanilla) has good EmuNAND support but only works with USB port 0.
v10 (alt) works with USB ports 0 and 1 but has less EmuNAND compatibility.
v10 non-alt version is just as usable as v8/v9.

WiiFlow is a bit weird to set up for EmuNAND. If you get everything working you might try reading over the NAND section of WiiFlow's wiki.

As for the extra cIOS, no, I wouldn't bother with them unless you know you need them. As long as you're not replacing an IOS below 100 you don't have to worry about restoring a NAND dump. You can just uninstall the questionable IOS with a mod manager.

Okay, thank you!

Everything is working perfectly with USB Loader GX, so I'm not even using WiiFlow anymore.

Now my issue is with AC:CF directly. Nook's Cranny loads, but now he just remodeled to the next level, Nook 'n' Go, and the game goes to black when I walk in. Again, this is a direct rip from my own official copy, so I'm not exactly sure what my Wii is thinking about when I try to load the new store. When I edited the town and hacked the highest Nook's store it did the same thing. Ocarina is completely off, so I know that's not the issue. I don't have a GC card or controller plugged in, so that can't be it (even though I'm sure it wouldn't matter because I'm not updating any IOS stuff...). WiiConnect24 is off... I don't think it's because of the HDD sleeping because the game did this with a flash stick with the same image... Looks like I'll just keep having to hack my town to continue to have Nook's Cranny and no other levels higher. I just left it alone for about 20 minutes and still nothing, so it's definitely not a sleeping issue...

[UPDATE] I tried to switch it to IOS250 (was 249), and now 222, and turned No Disc+ on (even though thats for GC), and turned Block IOS Reload to off (was Auto, then to On with 222). When I enter Nook 'n' Go it pushed to the blue bus loading screen instead of the all black screen, so... making progress...

Another question/insight needed:
The Nintendont pack I downloaded has these WADs:
  • cIOS202[60]-hermesrodries-v6 (Same as mine)
  • cIOS222[38]-hermes-v5.1 (Mine is v4)
  • cIOS223[57]-hermes-v5.1 (Mine is v4 in [75])
  • cIOS224[37]-hermes-v5.1 (Mine is hermesrodries-v6 in [57])
  • cIOS245[37]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt (Mine is v6)
  • cIOS246[38]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt (Mine is v6)
  • cIOS247[53]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt (Mine is v6)
  • cIOS248[55]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt (Mine is v6)
  • cISO249[56]-d2x-v10-beta52 (This is what I installed from the pack)
  • cIOS250[57]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt (This is what I installed from the pack)
  • cIOS251[58]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt (Mine is v6)
  • cIOS252[56]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt (I don't have anything installed for 252)
Now I noticed 223 is in slot 75 on mine and the wad installs it to 57, and 224 is in slot 57 and the wad installs it to 37. Could the slot difference be the issue? I noticed, also, that all of these are the "alt" version you mentioned. The loader is using 249 which is beta52 and why the EmuNAND is working.
I'm just getting frustrated because this all used to work before lol.
