Hi,

what is the recommended way to install Gateway on new 3ds right now with the release of 3.2.1?

Do I need the flashcardtimewarp? What is that?

Thanks

Flashcart timewarp is included in the latest release (they're calling it the blue card fix)

Hold B when booting into gw mode to go to sysnand instead of emunand, you can then run bigbluemenu.3ds or whatever you choose to use to install bluecardfix.cia and mset_<region>.cia

Then reboot and use the nvram installer in the launcher, or the blue card installer to install the ds profile exploit (they literally do the same thing)

Then to boot into gateway mode, open system settings, tap profile, then tap nintendo ds profile

so with it we can install .cia in sysnand or im getting it wrong?

Yes, But there's always a potential of bricks on sysnand.
Which is why emunand is the recommended safe way to play.

Also, only signed applications will run in sysnand, so you'd still need to enter gw mode to play anything that isn't "legit"

well, the cia 'flashcardtimewarp' is spoofed to the max version. it breaks the whitelist.
the one gw provide is the a legitimate version, v0.
the end result is the same basically though.

No, unsigned CIAs will also work in sysnand, as long as you're running gateway mode. Unsigned CIAs will not work in regular mode or gateways classic mode. Nothing to do with emu or sysnand.

You quoted me but didn't read what i said.

Oh, I read what you said, you're just mixing up the terms sysnand/emunand with regular/classic/gateway mode

EDIT: to clarify, I ifify

I was talking about being able to run .cia versions of pre-installed (These are considered "legit") without having to enter gw mode.

And what I was talking about was that we should always use the proper terminology, especially now that even with emunand installed we can boot into gateway mode with sysnand enabled. I was simply correcting your terminology, not actually disagreeing what you were trying to say. But it'll just let it rest at that.

does installing whitelist/bluecardfix on sysnand or emunand make difference? is the risk of installing to sysnand worth it?

If i install the whitelist on emunand will i be able to use the bluecard on sysnand? if not how can i use bluecard on sysnand?

You actually need devmenu. Bigbluemenu won't work.
