Yeah it appears to work, however my idea to swap out bcfnts did not!
The game I'm working on seemed to detect the difference in font size.why not?
What has everyone been using to edit/create .bclim files? I found <this tool> and tried using it, but the game will crash whenever the .bclim is supposed to be shown onscreen. I know this DARC tool works just fine, because I was able to manipulate and move around some already existing .bclim files from the .arc, and the game did not crash.
ChrisX930, are you currently using anything to modify .bclim textures with your ongoing project?
Yeah, I triple-checked that the format was the same, and the file is definitely the same name as the original.Be sure that you are selecting the same output format that the original bclim was. Also, be sure to rename it before replacing the original bclim.
I tried exactly the same tool you have linked here.Yeah, I triple-checked that the format was the same, and the file is definitely the same name as the original.
I'm not exactly sure why the game crashes upon loading it...
It looks to me like the import worked and you didn't have to keep the image in the original format. But when I tried picking a different format to make it look better, it crashed the game (actually, the game crashed if I kept the format the same as the original too).I tried exactly the same tool you have linked here.
I tried to convert a png into the same format ás the original file, but the quality sucked hard.
So I tried any other format in higher Quality and it worked well.
Here's a example of my "new" Title Screen
This is a example where I only changed the Logo
It did not used the same format and the file size is different.It looks to me like the import worked and you didn't have to keep the image in the original format. But when I tried picking a different format to make it look better, it crashed the game (actually, the game crashed if I kept the format the same as the original too).
So which image format did you use? I want to try the same format as you since it obviously worked.
Thanks. I'll try that and see if it works.It did not used the same format and the file size is different.
Original Filesize of TitleUpper.arc => 966kb
CUstom Filesize of modded TitleUpper.arc => 1862kb
I used the bclim-format #9 "RGBA8888".
OKay, tell me if it workedThanks. I'll try that and see if it works.
Sidenote: You wouldn't happen to have a PAPA unpacker/repacker hiding somewhere, would you?
Aaaaaaaand game crashedOKay, tell me if it worked
Not sure if Story of Seasons will crash with this method, never tried yet (because I don't own it on eshop so I can't test it with NTR_CFW).Aaaaaaaand game crashed
Either HM3D isn't nearly as picky as Story of Seasons (which is what I'm working on), or I'm doing something wrong :/
Thanks. Looking forward to it.Not sure if Story of Seasons will crash with this method, never tried yet (because I don't own it on eshop so I can't test it with NTR_CFW).
But yea, as you can see, it runs perfectly for me.
Will make a small tutorial (video on youtube) how this will work.
but for now, gn8
Okay, finished.Thanks. Looking forward to it.
Okay, finished.
Here's my Video Tutorial
This archive contains the darc.py and the png2bclim.exe which I have used in the VIdeo

It's really nice to hearThanks by the way! I don't know what I did wrong on my own, but I followed your video exactly and it worked 100%!
good to knowYou don't need to care about directories while using inject option
