Hi guys...

Im working on this for days.

Trying to transfer my Fire Emblem save from the Retail card to the same backup that I did with the gateway tool.
I already change the extension to .3dz so it should recognize the save in the SD card, but when I start the game it always came up with new game only option.

Months ago I did it with my Fantasy Life copy but I forgot how I did that back them, so Im kind desperate now...

Someone can help me with this? I also have savedatafiler on my 3DS, but what I did was a backup from the Retail game and save, the header should work because they're the same, it's not from a downloaded rom.

Ah... For the last record, I also renamed the .sav that gateway makes with the rom from 3ds.essh name that it provide.

Im out of thoughs... Someone save me from this frustration, thanks so much!

I'm gonna write in portuguese first and english later since that way I can express myself better.

The cartridge's save must be greater than 500KB. Additionaly games must not use firmware above 6.x, but it is not Fire Emblem's case since it uses 4.x
Be careful with the title id you got from 3ds.essh because it has to match your 3DS region, which probably is USA in your case. I checked myself and your save should be named "00040000000A0500.sav" and it must be on the root of the 3DS's internal SD card, not the flashcard's SD

Since the game uses 4.x encryption you should be able to extract it with the gw menu. What region is your 3ds / cart? I am going to go out on a whim and say it is a EU; make sure the save is named 000400000009F100.sav

Its US.
Im using the save that I extracted with the gw, them I renamed it with the 3dssh .sav there.
But I cant understand why the rom isnt working with it, starting a new game all over... Should I start a new game and them replace it again in the SD with the retail?

I would say find the save named 00040000000A0500.sav and just change it slightly as not to lose the save. After you rip both your cart and the save make sure to rename the save 00040000000A0500.sav and see if that works

1) Dump the save with GW 3.1.1 Launcher
2) Rename the save into 000400000009F100.SAV (EUR) / 00040000000A0500.SAV (USA)
3) Dump the ROM, rename it into .3DZ, and move it into GW's MicroSD
4) Run .3DZ ROM
Done.

Alternative method (With this method, you need to use Bluecard twice but you don't need to dump ROM):
1) Use Bluecard + MT-Installer to re-crack your 3DS console
2) Dump the save with MT 2.2 Launcher
3) Rename the save into 000400000009F100.SAV (EUR) / 00040000000A0500.SAV (USA)
4) Use Bluecard + GW-Installer to re-crack your 3DS console
5) Run .3DS ROM
Done.

Try this (Source):

1. Connect the SD Card to your PC
2. Copy your Savegame and rename it as 000400000FF40A00.sav
3. Put SD Card back into your 3DS
4. Turn it on and enter emunand
5. Mount your fire emblem .3dz (not the cartridge)
6. Start SaveDataFiler (CTR Card is no longer broken!) and highlight CTR Card
7. Press Y and then A to export the Savegame (It will now be in the SD tab, decrypted).

Now, exit savedatafiler and launch FEA. Create a new save (be sure you actually save through the start menu on the map OR while in a battle, casual mode on easy will save you some time)! Then,

1. Exit the game but keep it mounted
2. Start SaveDataFiler again
3. Switch over to SD and highlight TitleID low
4. Press L + A and then A to create 000400000FF40A00.sav (CTR Card is no longer broken!)
5. Turn your 3DS off and connect the SD CARD with your PC
6. Rename 000400000FF40A00.sav to your TitleID 00040000000A0500.SAV
7. Put your SD Card back into your 3DS
8. Turn your 3DS on and execute emunand
9. Mount your Game and start it

This method should decrypt your original save and then re-encrypt it back to use with your .3dz backup. Let me know if it works!
