I don't think that there is anyone from Australia that does the mods.
Either way, you can pay the extra shipping to send it to "hundshamer" he is in the USA I believe.

or you can do the mod yourself, its only 4 pins and take about 10-20 minutes.

Thanks for the fast response. I will consider your recommendation.
As for doing it myself, I wouldn't trust myself not to screw it up.

I was just thinking, it would be cool if I could get a TV mod done at the same time. Any recommendations?

A capture card mod is very expensive, if you don't NEED it don't bother mate (Even Good Game (aussie game review show) haven't bothered with capture cards, they just film the screen)

As for the NAND mod, if your not comfortable doing it yourself find a PC repair place or anywhere that sells mod chips for other consoles, they will do it for a small fee if you give them a step by step guide.
Soldering isn't difficult though if you get the right things (solder, flux, fine tipped iron), you could get everything you need for about 30 bucks

I see it is quite expensive (moreso than I expected).
RE: GG, I thought that, until recently. They seem to be capturing the video directly now.

Yes yes yes. This thread x 1000. I have 3 units i need NAND mods applied too, so stand-up anyone in Aus and get ready to make a killing off me.....

There is only 1 other guy i know of from another forum who offered the service in Brisbane. he goes by the username of "jinn" on the ISO zone forums.

Feel free to try and contact him, I've already tired and he doesn't respond to PMs unfortunately, nor does he reply into his own thread soliciting the service.

if anyone manages to get in contact with this illusive fellow Aussie, please send me his contact details. Thanks

yeah ozmodchips will probably be the best chance if no AUS users are doing it, especially if they where offering the unbricking service at some point, then the nand mod should be perfectly doable for them its pretty much the same job but adding a port too

That's good. They are offering the unbricking service and downgrade flashing service right now according to their website.

Does anyone have pics of the install location for the port on the N3DS? Everything I'm finding is from the o3ds.

I'll be in NSW in a few weeks. If you find anyone there that does it I'll take advantage of the exchange rate :) Otherwise, I'll just do it myself when I get back.

Hi, I am looking for someone in Australia to hard mod my New 3ds xl. Can you recommend someone, and what is a reasonable price to pay for this?
Cc: Jao Chu

Get in contact with Shadowtrance, he's based in Queensland.

He has experience with old3DSes, but I don't know if he's done any new3DS mods yet. He should be quite capable of doing it though.

It's worth shooting him a message anyhow, he's an active member so it shouldn't be too long before you hear back from him.
