I am sure it is a possibility but have never heard of a problem. Any chance you can get a cheap US Cart of some crap shovelware?I have a Gateway question.
I'll be getting my Gateway by the end of the week, and I have my Cubic Ninja PAL, so I am ready.
Out of paranoia (that EU roms are censored), I've been downloading all US roms, and I had a question. Is it okay if I use a US rom with my private header (dumped from CN EUR/PAL) and play online on my AU/PAL N3DS XL?
Like, is it a possibility that Nintendo will "see" that the regions of both game/console don't match?
Or should I just keep using EU roms and EU cia's, just to be on the safer side?

I think the best option is to go cia for online games and 3ds for the local play. Unless you enjoy screwing around with headers.Yeah, I think so. They are everywhere over here.

I thin cia is the safest route by consensus around here, no need for headers at all. I can't comment on US vs EU content. when eshop access is available updates are easier through eshop but it is not that hard to download a cia update.I just wanted to be as safe as possible.
A friend of mine also has the exact same setup as mine, with the same console and everything, and he's going all EUR roms/cias only.
Are there any benefits of playing EUR roms/cias on EUR consoles?
I've been playing games a good 10 to 15 years of my life, and from what I've seen, the US version of games are always uncensored and made "the way they're meant to be played", and hence over all these years, I've ALWAYS preferred the US version of games.

Sometimes EU releases are easier to find and are the first dumped but I haven't seen much a a problem with that recently. U.S. updates seem to be more complete. I get confused on the region free stuff but I think local multiplayer might be a problem between a us and eu rom. Might want to check into that if your friend is all EU.
Online yes, I am not sure about the local direct connection.Thanx for the info. What about online play with that friend of mine? What if I have US rom and he has EU rom, can we at least do online play?
Or alle the demo gamesI'm sure that's just 100 copies of Big Red Menu, the legal open-source CIA installer.
Which version launcher are you using?Coud someone please tell me why multirom menu isnt working on 8.1j
Which version launcher are you using?
Ok. So create and update your emuNAND to 9.4 via a ROM update. Make sure the ROM isn't trimmed.3.1.1 Gateway said this We also noticed the multirom menu is not working properly on New 3DS 8.1.0J, and community members confirmed
so far that updating EmuNAND to latest firmware fixes this issue as a temporary workaround.

Update your systemnand to 9.2

That's probably your only option right now (until Gateway fixes emunand or fixes the 8.1 bug).
