Which one of the three games do you want to pirate?
Seriously, after a couple of weeks being released wii u games are 20 bucks.
Third party games aren't worth buying as they cut a ton out (compared to xb360 and ps3) of the game.
Combine that with no support, no updates, no dlc, and you get their version of a wii u game.
Face it, the only games worth pirating are first party games. And well if you like playing a nintendo then you shouldn't rob from them.
If you don't like playing nintendo then why are you here asking about pirating nintendo games?? Go to the store, shove a game in your pocket, and run like hell.
It's the exact same thing as pirating. Doesn't matter how you slice it. That's exactly what you are doing. So I ask why wait for an exploit? Just go to your store and steal it. No waiting to download, no hard drive needed, and no exploit needed.
Stop referring to yourselves as pirates. You are thieves. Also, when/if you bought a copy. You paid for one copy. (whether it was downloaded from eshop or purchased disk) It was meant to be one copy and if you damage it because you or your family are careless/morons, you have to purchase another copy. If you punch a hole in your out of warranty tv does that mean you can go to the store and take another one off the shelf and walk out without paying? (you might try but odds are you'll get yourself in trouble) The answer is no. You must now buy another one. Same goes for games. I don't want to hear "well in my country games are expensive". Still does not justify or change the fact you are a thief. Also if you can't afford said "expensive" games, then you should stop playing so many games and maybe get a/another job to have some extra money. Buy your stuff guys, you are the reason games cost 60.00 US on release day.
You wasted your time writing that out. Not even gonna bother taking the bait lol

I agree with you, to a point. My main disagreement, however, is that I don't see any reason that legitimate backups would be considered wrong, either from an economic or moral standpoint. You've already been sold the game, yes, but what if you're a collector, or have children in the house, or just like having all your games on the console, but still like owning physical copies?

Notice how I said "main disagreement" ;) There's a lot that I DIDN'T say

I love ZombiU ! Batman Arkham was a great game too.

Great game, I would buy both since they actually went down in price, unlike Lego City or James Bond.

I do to, but it just isn't selling. The cover art+name is complete trash. It was never going to do well from the moment they called it ZombiU.

Very true, but since it's 20$(15 in some places) it's one game you should play, rather than pirate. I won't push my opinion on you or say passive aggressive things to you(unlike others here). <- get it?

Yea, I have had the physical copy for quite a while. It's easy to find for 10$ cad so no issues with it.
Yay for necro-replies!

Although, how is ZombieU? I've never played or owned it, but could be convinced that it's a good game. Also, take off your "rose-tinted glasses" and give it to me bluntly
It's a really unique idea, and well made game. You can't get too attached to your main character, since if it's dies, you start with a new dude/gal. Really nice game.

Put aside 1$ a day, and after half a month, you can afford it :P

Backup copies do not equal theft both common sense AND US federal law agree on that, you are incorrect:http://www.copyright.gov/title17/92chap1.html#117

I was wondering who is actually going to code that backup loader everyone here seems to anticipate.
Everyone of those Wii people moved on to other stuff (myself included) and so far all who work on Wii U seem very opposed to backups.

Furthermore this would require an IOSU kernel exploit which is not required for homebrew so I doubt we'll even see one exploit released or being developed.
(There is a bit confusion going around by just saying "kernel exploit" by which a PPC kernel exploit is meant, this is what the people work on)

...Isn't Hykem working on an IOSU exploit?

You have the Wii U to totally hacked so why waste your time? There was a thread about piracy and the intent was to provide a forum to DEBATE piracy. haha, go there and avoid this section as you've been proven to be a fraud.

This thread is piracy discussion. Just printed my thoughts on it. Yep posted my thoughts on piracy in a piracy discussion thread I think I'm in the right section...
@ TSK yes US says you can pretty much do whatever with it so long as you don't re-distribute it. And even at that you aren't likely to get in any trouble if you aren't profiting from re distribution. It's only because said software vendors don't own the disc the software is written to. If they were to also make the discs in house and copyright the disc with it's contents the game would be completely changed.

Also crediar has made a valid point.

Not starting an argument here crediar because everything you do is anazing <3.

Just stating that there is a team working on it, but they're keeping quiet about it for now. One of the members of said team is a well known dev from the 3ds scene. Whether or not they can pull it off idk, but they DO have access to IOSU.

The exploit portion is done, coding the loader is a whole different animal (but you already know that :p).

Only time will tell...

EDIT: furthermore, they will likely need the kernel exploit to make the loader itself run, then once executed it would need to take advantage of their IOSU exploit to run an iso. Its no easy task for sure

I have an 8 year old in my house, this is one of the major reasons i support legitimate backups. Perhaps you dont have any young children at home, but i for one know the $60 makes for a pretty expensive frisbee, but lets agree to disagree :p
