Hacking New system update?

Edit by a mod for clarification :
It's NOT a new system update notification.
It means that the console couldn't access the update servers (because the user blocked the URL with proxy/OpenDNS/Router setting).
If you see this screen, it means you are correctly blocking updates !

My system tried to update just now, didn't have gamepad paired though. I'm on 5.3.2U aswell.

So blocking the same update servers using the opendns 3ds also blocks the wii u update servers as well?

I got that same message about a week and a half ago and I am on 5.3.2

Seriously, I BELIEVE Skylanders (Trap Team), Donkey Kong, and maybe another game or two had their update presented the same way. "System update" I believe because my song was angry, "Not again daddy, not another update!!!" He HATES waiting for them to install. Anyway, I think since you're on the most recent version, it is PROBABLY a game update. I want to say when I used Netflix or something before that it was updated.

Are you connected to the internet. The Wii U runs a native process in the background that checks for updates, for all your software. Including the firmware. When a internet connection is not present it will display this error, the system isn't actually downloading a Update, it's attempting to check for one...Just make sure your connected! It will also display the error if the Services are blocked, because it's failed to connect to em'.

Yeah, I was about to consider downloading the Wii U version of Super Mario 64 for two bucks, but I just know I'd have the worst luck and somehow get 5.3.3 or whatever version about 5.3.2 it'll be soon lol. Yeah, maybe I should wait.

Nah, feel free to update. I highly doubt they'll patch any of our stuff until we release it (considering how long it's been since we're discovered it), plus I get a text whenever Wiiumpersonator tweets something so you'll know mere minutes after it goes live.

Hmm, fair enough, but still, I'm kinda wary; too bad we can't access the eShop and block those update server IP addresses lol.

Cripes, yeah, I need to transfer some money from my prepaid card (as I'm a plasma donor) to my main account since Nintendo hates prepaid cards I can only hope that they don't release an update today. That or those actual Nintendo eShop cards from Best Buy
