All I ever see is Json pelvis surfing Gateway in any thread that opposes them, kek. As it was previously stated, all of these exploits are public domain. Gateway simply made use of them.

Also, KARL team, I was thinking about it this morning, aren't NNIDs region specific?

I get where he's coming from. Everybody on this scene gets a certain level of kudos and respect EXCEPT for the gw team, who've done great things, albiet for money, but that's fair isn't it? If KARL asked for donations tomorrow people would throw cash at them too.

We don't need any more testing at this point, honestly.

EDIT: Until we release and people can pick out obscure bugs that we didn't catch, of course. Ha.
Does that mean you don't want me to quote your post? I would of course link back to the GBAtemp one.

Okay one more question.
I have a Majora's Mask n3DS and I need to send it in for repairs since the hinge is twice as loose compared to all my friends n3DS's and it's bugging me. But first I need to get the save game of the pre-installed Majora's Mask backed up.
Now on the SD card I found a *.sav file in the MM folder. Is this the save game or is the save game burried somewhere in the nand? If it's in the nand, will I be able to decrypt the nand with Karl3DS? I already dumped it with Gateway's Zelda OoT exploit. And if it's the *.sav on the SD card, will Karl3DS allow me to decrypt that? Or is the required console unique key off-limits for Karl3DS?

Are you playing on a cartridge?

if you are sending it to nintendo i would imagine all your saves will be saved and kept, right?
if you back up your save, and get a different 3ds, your save will not work with it.
saves games on on the sd card.

Are you playing on a cartridge?

he says preinstalled, so no

To backup the save you would need to use savadatafiler to be sure it will be safe to restore to another console/motherboard (but that would require a gateway card), it depends on what the service centre do to the console, I have heard a few horror stories with limited edition consoles with them coming back scratched up, or Nintendo just swapping it for a standard model rather than actually fixing the console you send in, and you can be almost certain they will update the console, that pretty much standard practice.......because ofc updating might fix the hinge

Yeah, agreed, it's pretty annoying honestly. Else, for repairs like this, always make a NAND backup and take it to a third party service company. That way, you know you'll get your console back, and can restore your NAND backup with a hard mod if it gets updated, though I'd recommend asking them to just straight up not update it, as that's usually enough for a third party repair company.

It's definitely not a competition, it's two different groups with different morals and goals. We'll leave it at that.

Also, everyone welcome StapleButter to the KARL3DS team!

well that sucks. i was kinda hoping wed get another dev on board with oska :(
...especially since karl wasnt taking anymore help... damn oh well.

anyway do you guys have a method of getting eshop purchases made in emunand transferred over to sysnand as well?

Copy ticket.db from emunand to sysnand, use funkycia to make a cia of the eshop game(s) you want to play, then install to sysnand? Dunno if it works as I've never even tried but it should.

Edit: Was thinking about it and it might not work very well depending on how far "back" the sysnand is. Because the system tickets might mismatch if the emunand contains too many/specific updated system titles*. So copying back from a 9.5 emunand to a 4.5 sysnand might not end well. As always, have a hardmod and a nand backup before doing any sciency things.

*You'd have to ask cearp or someone in the know about tickets and whether or not this is a thing that can happen as I've never even attempted to look into them. I might get curious about it all when I've got a way to edit the sysnand without wasting an entire day on reading/writing the whole nand whenever I need a single change.

Any progress updates today? Seems the devs have only been talking among themselves about the project in general. Not rushing or anything. Just got used to seeing Dazz post something that blows everyone's mind every other day or so.
