That was the first thing I tried. Since it doesn't dump their furniture however, there won't even be a dresser there. The carpet/walls do get dumped though and it was the Ancient tile and Sea View wallpaper.

You could try downloading Wine. It's a program that runs exe files on mac. Not sure if it'll work though.

for me it dumped someone elses furniture in all 4 houses they have

Edit: nvm only 1

how do you dump one?

I'm disappointed somewhat, it works just fine. It doesn't save your furniture though. If anyone can find a way to keep the furniture from a dream town or if lets say you brick your cartridge, if there is a way to save the original furniture. Please someone help!

I tried that. Didn't open it

So Here's my guide to dumping and injecting a dream town.

MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR GAME FIRST!!!! JUST DUMP YOUR ORIGINAL TOWN BEFORE HAND AND SAVE YOUR ACNLRAM.BIN TO YOUR DESKTOP!!

1. Choose the town you want to go to, doesn't matter.

2. When your in the town, be outside when you are doing this, press the home button, go to the internet browser. Delete your cookies & history (of course.)

3. Go to http://bit.ly/acnl_dump (referring to marc_max) and wait for it to crash the browser.

4. (don't worry, sometimes it won't show a green light. It still works)

5. Leave the dream town, and go back to yours.

6. Go in your house, then back out and move like 3 steps or whatever just make sure that you move somewhat.

7. Go to your browser once again (you can edit it as well, but if you just straightaway want the town, this is the method.)

7. Delete your history and cookies again, then go to http://bit.ly/acnl_inject

8. Wait for that to finish, if you don't get a green light again, don't panic.

9. Go inside your house and come back out. When you go inside your house for the first time, it will show your original furniture items and most likely different wallpaper. (it doesn't save your furniture :()

10. When you come back out, the town hall says something about a new day and whatever, it will then save. If your game crashes, you may have bricked it somehow. Just go to the LeafTools thread and read the instructions for getting your town back.

11. If all worked well without anything going wrong, after it saves, you will be back at the house/town of your choosing. All of the items/everything in the town have saved except for the furniture.

12. Have fun! Please like this post if you enjoyed it! :D I'm still a complete noob to GBATEMP, but I love helping and problem solving!

Marc, if you could please add this to the original post so people could see it, it would be well appreciated thanks! :yaysp:

That would need to be manually edited in... I guess I might do an update that automatically adjusts borders, but it might not be for a while, i'll see.

Okay, thank you for letting me know at least!

For anyone using the acre editor: Another thing that I noticed was that, when editing the river, there are sections of the water which are flowing backwards. I'm not sure if this changes after you save or not, but it might be a good idea for someone to look into that! Besides that and the waterfall though, it works like a charm!

I don't think it'll change direction. I'm guessing it works like it did in City Folk so regardless if you save and quit, the water still flows in that direction since that's the way the acre is set.

I'll try Nao's save dumper and injector and see if they bring all the furniture

The villager modifier is working well except for one thing, villager's wake-up time.

These are the bits for Kiki, a normal villager I got at the start of the game. The two first bits identify Kiki and the third bit identify her personality group, 04 for Normal. Even if the bits are changed, Kiki would act normally except for things like wake-up times

And this is the Midge I modified from the Kabuki who moved in my town. Kabuki being a cranky villager, the third bit is a 02, and it stuck to Midge. Midge still acts like a Normal villager, except for waking up and going to bed (she wakes up after Kiki)

So, personality bits

00 - Lazy
01 - Jock
02 - Cranky
03 - Smug
04 - Normal
05 - Peppy
06 - Snooty
07 - Uchi

For Marc's editor, does anyone know how to use the building mover coordinates? I'm not that great with coords :L Is it like a math graph, so like x and y axis?

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
