I am even sure that if I did sell it sometime, I will not be able to find a jap 9.2 n3ds anyway... there is no 9.2 n3ds anymore here in Japan....

I'm not sure how you could be mad here... Gateway have never once said above 9.2 is okay, regardless of the console. All their work thus far have only supported up to 9.2, it's only right that it would continue unless they explicitly mentioned support for later firmwares are added

I did it in Gateway mode on 9.2, just like I did with Kid Icarus. Shouldn't make a difference, but there you go.

Just for the sake of it i would try doing both extraction and injection under CFW and see if that works

You ALSO need a Gateway cart. There's no technical reason it should be needed, but the launcher checks for it. It's like a form of DRM.

Ah thats too bad, I was getting excited about this. Perhaps I will get a gateway now though, I'm still on 9.2 so I could totally use this.

Is there anyway for me to install an OOT cia directly onto sysnand so that I can launch GW mode without the OOT card anymore?

nope, there is no legit OOT cia dumps as it was never included as a pre-installed bundle....damn you 25th anniversary console coming with the cart

That usually comes in the form of hardware version 1.1. But using Mario Kart as an example, the patch will likely come in as a download from the eShop now.
