Sorry, but this is ridiculous. Anybody whom decides to support such practice by purchasing Gateway is an idiot. I've bought all my games legitimately, but if at some point I were to decide that I wanted to play 'backups', I'd either reverse engineer KARL3DS or buy a Sky, simply out of principle. I understand that Gateway are out to make money, but they're ripping all of you chumps off to the extreme. Don't you guys understand that the Gateway card isn't even necessary? And that in fact, if they didn't implement their shitty 'check', you could have homebrew/play backups with just OOT and Launcher.dat? This whole situation is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. Don't buy this shit. If you want homebrew, wait for KARL3DS. If you want to play 'backups', get a Sky card. If you want an all-in-one, just wait for somebody to reverse engineer KARL3DS. Just, whatever you do, do not spend money on this shit. You're paying for a branded flash cart that literally does nothing. Literally.

No offence, but are you really posting this criticizing gateway who are sticking to one card, when a Sky3DS team has released their Blue Button card one month after the Red Button card ? Essentially making a loyal customer pay 200$ for an unlimited version ?

It's not just a check. No. It CAN'T work without GW. Because... payload is encrypted with a key stored in GW card.

That sucks, my save is on slot one and I haven't finished the game yet. Can't we choose which slot to put the exploit in?
if you have access to another GW compatibly system, you can merge your existing save with the GW exploit save most likely

actually i suppose it depends how big the slot1 save is, i just tried to copy it to slot 2 which casued the game to crash, so i guess its much bigger than the original slot sizes

I'm glad that in Poland Ocarina Of Time 3D is not that expensive (for now :D), it costs like normal 3ds game.
But finally - DS mode is working ? Yeah o/

Your really that bored that you took the time to post that trash? Gateway does more than just homebrew and backups but on some level you have a point about the updates etc.. They are deadly slow with them but thats because they are battling a milti billion dollar company. If you can do any better go ahead. So either put up or shut up.

so, i dont own OOT but i have a 3DS with Gateway working, and a sky3DS for my new3ds. is it possible for me to install the exploit using sky3ds?
thanks in advance

You do realize that this method is temporary right? Its better this than nothing at all. As for Sky, their past says more than enough for them.

I have a JP N3ds, and a US ocarina of time, i can still do this?

I do have an US 9.0 3ds with gateway running aswell

No, the system is still region locked before running the exploit, so you would need a Japanese copy, unfortunately.

Why the F*** would they look for an exploit in such an expensive game? Seriously taking the piss. Why the hell is this game cost so much too? Time to sell my gateway for sky, adios.
