I might be totally wrong on this, but hear me out. Can't you first get ahold of a OoT card to perform the exploit, install emuNAND and backup your original NAND. Then after that install a CIA to your sysNAND and push the save file to that CIA? Unless I am missing something this seems like a good method to get the hack working without card

The CIA won't launch in SysNAND unless it was pulled from a preinstalled 3DS copy, and there aren't any OoT CIAs that were preinstalled AFAIK.

So you want to run the exploit by being in the exploited environment already? I want to facepalm so hard right now.

Yes, but you need to buy it from the eShop or someone to dump a legit CIA.

luckily I just snagged a japanese copy of OOT 3d of of amazon with Prime, should be arriving Friday.

Im guessing each time you turn off your 3ds, you need to re do the whole exploit?

Shame

But, will it work if you download a legit copy from e-shop ? Still a more convenient solution than doing it with a cartrdige.

even when cubic ninja is supported... that still requires additional hardware

can anyone confirm if you need to do all these steps every time you turn on your 3ds?

maybe not, i mean CN has QR code scan
and ninjhax doesnt require a sav dongle or an old 3ds running GW , you dont have to write a hacked sav to the Cn cart to run ninjhax so i am going to assume that CN GW exploit will not need you to load the hacked sav to it

You're missing the part where your sysnand won't run an unsigned title maybe?

It might work in the following scenario (this is purely speculation on my part, so don't think it's the new gospel or something):

1) You have the Save Data Transfer Tool from the eShop
2) You have a legit eShop copy of OoT
3) You also have a physical copy of OoT, or know someone who does, and borrow theirs

Couldn't you find a way to put the save onto the cartridge (other 3DS, dongle, whatever), then use the SDTT to move it to the eShop copy, and thus have an entry point from sysNAND?

If you're using Eshop on the N3DS you're on FW 9.5
