ignore my previous post and list, the list is the same as the villager pics with cyrano starting at 0x0000 (basically the same as my list without the NULLS).
I'll post addresses in a few hopefully, I've successfully changed a villager
Yeah, the order was expected to be the same. Villager species editor coming soon!

So I opened up my Villager #3 and dumped the RAM... The pockets and dressers were still for villager #1 (my mayor). Very surprising.
Yes. The RAM contains the whole savegame, but there are parts like streetpass or stored patterns that are in different places (just like the real savegame). It may be possible to do a full savegame dump.

Does anyone know about this movie?

This is conanac's dream town, it's one of the first posts in the other AC thread. They haven't released any of their findings or an editor of any kind, so we're having to research it from scratch.

Also, because someone mentioned island villagers: there are 10 "island" versions of the villager houses, and will show up on the map as occupied by that villager (or crash if there is no villager in that slot). The house will always be occupied, and entering it will always crash. I haven't found the island building data yet though, it might be possible to place one on the island, where it may behave differently (or just crash again). This appears to be a leftover from a possible island villager mechanic similar to the original Animal Crossing (it's also worth noting that the island map has a giant ocean with a small actual island - it may have originally been intended to be bigger and house island villagers)
Hmmm... Thouse houses are probably the ones in the tours. There is a minigame that you have to enter houses, and IIRC, they are island themed.

Yeah that makes more sense. I had forgotten about the tours because I never do 'em :)

if anyone is messing with villager species changing, it might be worth mentioning that you have to save and quit for the changes to take pace (this is why i went a few hours without noticing i actually had 2 derwins).

The campsite seems like it'd be tedious for getting a whole roster, but good for a few villagers. If we could do dumps of vanilla villagers, that'd give us data that the editor might be able to inject, though that'd be a chore to do all 333 villagers.

The nulls in my first list lead me to believe that maybe more villagers were planned, but eventually scrapped. Theres a ton from previous titles that arnt in (R.I.P. Claude, Chuck, Iggy)

For those of you with a 4.5+ 3DS and use emuNAND, then this post is for you:

This will NOT work with GATEWAY emuNAND. However, you can now use rxTools 2.0 to boot into your emuNAND. I just tried it using rxMode, and can confirm dumping and injecting worked successfully.

Note that you will have to use your retail game and not a ROM.

Actually people could just update their sysnand to 9.0+ and then downgrade back to 4.5, but I really don't know if the problem is emunand or the gateway.

Hmm I've move some buildings around to line up with train station and I can walk through them, there's also some invisible walls where they previously was. Also I'm not sure but I don't think the special Triforce tree trunk is on the list?
EDIT: Saved and reconnected, can walk there now :), Aha oh god... I can walk through the fence though xD! Going have to move them down, was a nice feature though :D.
Really enjoying this.
EDIT 2: Also put my house near the edge by 1 and somehow created a invisible place to walk on above the ocean, you can dig and a shell spawned there xD
EDIT 3: Managed to make a literally perfect map - I love teleporting into the boat aha!

Not sure how spoiler tags work so there will be double spoiler sorry...

So when you saved the game and reloaded, the big invisible block where the house used to be disappeared and you couldn't walk through their house anymore? I tried moving Flurry's house last night but I didn't save because I was worried about the invisible block/phantom house becoming permanent...

I moved all the houses, Camping site, Cafe and Re-Tail in my city. The same thing happened: at first their original spots have some sort of "invisible block", and I walked through their new house spots.

Then I saved, quit, and entered the game again: this time, the invisible blocks disappeared and I could enter their houses normally.

just an update. I've done this about 5 times now, and on the 4th try, my screen was blacking out for 3 seconds at a time, rather frequently after the injection, and it took a few minutes of gameplay before the bug presented itself. I shut down without saving, did the whole process again, and wasn't able to duplicate the problem (injected the same file), so I don't know what that was about. Just letting people know.

on my town map i have multiple ? corresponding to ID [0x00020039] These are bamboo stalks.

also quick question, would it be possible to edit the inside of villager houses in the future? I have a few villagers with butt-ugly house interiors.
