I like everything about this project except for the A in KARL3DS.
What about unsigned homebrew, would it at least be possible to still install that the .cia way?

just because you can install something, does not mean you it will work when you run it.
we will see what the developers will do :) i hope they let us do as much as possible

so yeah, i get interesting errors while compiling: nvm switched -mfloat to soft
Code:
arm-none-eabi-gcc -MMD -MP -MF /home/atlantic/Pulpit/ciaelf/build/utils.d -x assembler-with-cpp -g -march=armv6k -mtune=mpcore -mfloat-abi=hard -c /home/atlantic/Pulpit/ciaelf/source/utils.s -o utils.o
linking Loadboot.elf.elf
/home/atlantic/devkitPro/devkitARM/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/4.9.2/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld: error: bootstrap.o uses VFP register arguments, /home/atlantic/Pulpit/ciaelf/output/Loadboot.elf.elf does not
/home/atlantic/devkitPro/devkitARM/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/4.9.2/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld: failed to merge target specific data of file bootstrap.o
/home/atlantic/devkitPro/devkitARM/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/4.9.2/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld: error: main.o uses VFP register arguments, /home/atlantic/Pulpit/ciaelf/output/Loadboot.elf.elf does not
/home/atlantic/devkitPro/devkitARM/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/4.9.2/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld: failed to merge target specific data of file main.o

The moment this comes out, someone is going to modify it slightly and release "YAKARL3DS".

just because you can install something, does not mean you it will work when you run it.
The 50ish unreleased homebrew apps I made can attest to that.

would it be of any use to run your compiled bootstrap from the palantine CFW with CN installed as CIA ? if so i can run it 10 or more times (after buying my RNG shrine...)

God I would be so ecstatic for this to release even for just region-free support on the n3ds. I really am tired of my girlfriend making fun of me for constantly saying that we'll be able to hack our 2 n3ds "soon" week after week. I'd be pretty happy being able to use my japanese 3ds, like buying mh4 or even the option to just buy a sky3ds or dstwo+ (if thats even going to be a thing). I've been so perturbed over the fact that I bought these jp 3ds's when I didn't need to and now I could have my hands on us ones instead.

Ugh.

I ONLY compiled bootstrap.
It's a homemenu app. I want to boot an elf and I need kernaccess for that.

i understood that, but would the data from runing the bootstrap on CFW be of any use ?, if so i can launch it 10 or more times

Why? An Open Source exploit is a ridiculous concept.

It's like being a master thief and giving the Police a map and a key to the place you stash all your stolen goods.

Nintendo would know how to patch it within hours of it being released.

After it's patched, then you release the source so others can learn from it.

This is exactly what Smealum promised, and did with Ninjhax.

Don't be stupid ! The Nintendo patched Ninjhax in the first firm update, good attempt though

can anyone explain to me the point of this thread ?
i have legit copy of cubic ninja
also a 4.3 3DS and 9.2 3DS XL

You could just read the first post and find out yourself, but I suppose that would be too difficult.
i already read it
its talking about testing , and i don't get it

so , this thread is about testing and applying codes to access the kernal using ninjhax ?

You clearly didn't read it, as the purpose of this thread and the project's goal are both outlined in the first post. If you don't get it, then forget it. There's nothing you can do to help.

Alright, all my attempts to update sysnand using CIAs have resulted in bricks. In both Gateway, Gateway emunand transferred to sysnand, and Palantine CFW emunand trasferred to sysnand.

I hope someone can sort this out with Karl3DS as there isn't currently a public method of updating sysnand with CIAs without getting a brick. And yes, I did try to use a rom to update as well since I have a Gateway, but that also results in a brick. :P
