I dunno, I personally believe in listening to everyone's opinions, and Nym raises a fair point. Sure, the effect won't be NEAR as drastic as he makes it out to be, but the 2nd and 3rd party Wii U developers really can't afford much less sales than they're currently getting

What are their prices like? I know the 2 games I'm pirating are consistently still ridiculously priced.

I agree, but I think the example that Nym gave (Bayonetta) is very fairly priced, since you're essentially getting two games for $30 instead of one for $60
And companies like Ubisoft frequently run pretty good deals on the eShop, besides

Surprised people are defending Bayonetta 2 and its price, it's the reason why I want to pirate this console in the first place. The game should be in the $30-40 range tops. The original can be bought for $10 on the ps3/xbox, and the sequel is only a 9-10 hour campaign. I don't see how this is worth 60 dollars.

I have no problem paying full price for a game like xenoblade x or smash brothers, but it's a crime to be paying 50-60 dollars for these single player campaigns that are only 10-15 hours long. I'm looking at you Donkey Kong, Mario 3d world, pikmin 3, and bayonetta 2.

Nintendo never discounts their games, barring that Mario Kart promotion, which makes me want to pirate them even more. They also pissed me off with how they're handling the 3ds customers, making them buy another handheld just to play future releases. They deserve to be pirated with their unethical business practices.

Does Bayonetta not have sidequests?

I see where you're coming from, but these games all have TONS of content if you're a completionist, and especially Donkey Kong and Mario 3D World have great replay value

Dafuq do you call the "Player's Choice" (and similar) programs? For example, Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy 2, and Wii Sports for $20 (originally either $50 or console bundle exclusive) because they were top selling games

Look how many years it took for them to even have some wii games on sale. Skyward sword is still almost $50. Those eshop deals are something new, don't hold your breath that you'll be getting consistent deals on their great games. I don't expect any of the Wii U games to go down in price this year. Look at the sales you get on Steam/PC, PS4, and xbox and then compare that to the shit nintendo does.

Collecting stickers, stars, etc. to me is just waste of time when playing a game. I've done it so many times before that I find those activities mind-numbing, and wouldn't convince me to have the game's length inflated.

Well, the main campaign surely is not very long but in my opinion the amount of unlockables and post-game content deserve it's credit on this case.
I don't know when was the last time that I had just finished a game and was immediately ready to start again. And the best part: It's NOT a DLC party, it's everything in there. If you think about it it's not that hard to see that it's one of the only games that came out last year with that quality and quantity of unlockables "for free". The design of the game itself shows clearly that it is a game that kinda wants you to keep playing after beating and, since it did it right, a short campaign can be forgiven.
I don't want play an advocate for Bayonetta here because it wasn't my intention in the first place. But saying that it's not worthy it's price judging exclusively it's main campaign time while disconsidering the rest is a little weird for me.

The thing is back then, when there were promotions like the Mario Kart one, where you could get a game on the house, the Wii U hardly had any decent games. So a lot of guys missed it. With everything else i agree. I generally do and will continue to buy games with an online mode and also those that have a reasonable price.

I prefer to buy my games in-person at Gamestop. That way I don't have to pay for shipping and I know for sure what I'm buying.

I agree, but there are some people who either like to import games from other regions or don't have a game store for miles and need to have their games shipped
