Okay, so I used to have 9.2.0 firmware and I downgraded to 4.3 using go.gateway-3ds exploit and downgrade.dg. I want to get back up to 9.2. I made a nand dump using the exploit before downgrading. Is there any way I can get to 9.2 again?

You can also restore via software by putting your nand.bin on your big SD card, running the gateway exploit and holding up on the d pad when you select downgrade fw

EDIT:
Beware that gateway reccomends only messing with nand backups and downgrading if you have a hardware mod if anything goes wrong.

Lots of wrong answers here.

If you have a nand dump of 9.2 and are not on 9.4 you can certainly upgrade back to 9.2 without a hardware mod so relax. Search through the threads for the tutorial.

As to why the OP might want to do that? Lots of reasons, including encryption compatibility with existing saves on retail carts.

even without owning a gateway or a flashcart of any kind? I was getting ready to get my gateway this week but RHS shut down so i'm getting refunded in 3-7 days.
Wouldn't have a nand dump without a card would he? Unless someone has found some work around for that as well.

Okay, thanks to everyone who replied. It looks like someone said I could lut nand.bin my my sd card and then hold up eiwhile pressing downgrade console? Is this accurate information?

Yes.
I downgraded from 9.2 to 4.5 via Gateway, and then restored my NAND by backing up the 9.2 one, putting it on my SD Card and holding UP on the GW exploit (Click Downgrade, but hold UP at the same time)

That is accurate, though I would still look up a thread that discusses it to make sure you have all the steps correct and any other tips and pitfalls.

Okay, luckily I have all my stuff labeled, I have a 4.3 nand, 9.2 nand, extdata backups

I'm gonna do a little looking around then I'll try this. Thanks guys!

Fuck, thorasgar when I go to the gateway-3ds exploit it crashes me to the home menu. I have Launcher.dat on the root of my sd card along with my nand.bin
It is supposed to do that. It is called auto booting to emunand. When the screen turns white/grey hold the left trigger, you will boot to the Gateway Menu.
