You're probably right. However, if we can find a way to exploit this new vWii wrapper thingy, to use the gamepad for "vWii" homebrew, that would be epicSmash stack will almost surely be patched out if Brawl is re-released like that.
It is a big deal if we can somehow use that wrapper to play emulators and other Wii titles using gamepad controls!

Just found this out... SMG2 digital download uses the same saved files if you had already played it from a Wii disc version. You continue where you left off. So that means it's most definitely being played in vWii mode for sure!
o,O that just makes me all the more curious to see how it works.

K, NWP, if they use the gamepad, are they being played in vWii mode?
I honestly have no idea. I'd assume it's just doing some fancy trickery to make the hardware act like a Wii, it may be a modified Cafe2Wii, or it might be a rewrite/simplified version that, for example, switches the NAND it's using to access save data, or when installing it copies it to the eMMC, I really have no idea.

So, uh. Excuse me for annoying you, but you mean the "play from downloads" part, not the "use the GamePad buttons" part, correct?Actually they have something called WFS that was already used for Dragon Quest X (Japan only) which run from a HDD: http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/IOS59
It's probably using that.
Yes and it seems a lot of people seemed to have misread that SMG2 would be playable with the Pro or Gamepad, SMG2 supports NEITHER!So, uh. Excuse me for annoying you, but you mean the "play from downloads" part, not the "use the GamePad buttons" part, correct?
