Just with this plugin, you perform the function of the Blue Gateway with the DSTWO.

There is a blue Gateway card which "prepares the 3DS for the red Gateway card" (read: performs the exploit to run unsigned code). And then there's the red Gateway card, which does the 3DS-mode code running.

Does anyone have plugin for gameyob? I used to have it, i formatted my sd card and now the link here http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/DSTwo_Plugin_Emulators downloads a 1 kb corrupted file.

It's been broken for ages and probably isn't going to get fixed.

Do what I did. Download one of the Lameboy plugins (I like the third one), rename the .ini and .bmp to gameyob.ini and gameyob.bmp, open the .ini file and change it to

[plug setting]
icon=fat1:/_dstwoplug/gameyob.bmp
name=GameYob

Job done.

thanks, i love the gameyob icon, so i will try to convert this .png http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/File:GameYob.png to a compatible .bmp file.

Is just making it 16 bit .bmp enough?

I believe it has to be 40x42 pixels too, not more than a certain file size. I'm no expert with image editing, to be honest!

thanks a lot, it worked. i just dragged the gameyob.png to the .exe and it created a nice 16 bit .bmp out of it. I will try it on dstwo when i get back home.

For anyone who wants to do the conversion, ms paint doesn't work for this kind of conversion. it supports 4-8-24 bit bmp but not 16 bit.

I am thinking about getting a SC DSTwo. Am very new to this. What are good NES, SNES, GB/GBC, and GBA Emulators for it? Also, will a SC DSTwo work on a 3DS with Firmware 9.2.0-20U? Thoughts appreciated

NES - NesDS
SNES - CATSFC
GB/C - GameYob
GBA - TempGBA

CATSFC and TempGBA are exclusive to the DSTwo. Works fine on the latest 3DS firmware, and 9.2 of course.
