My one gripe with PS+ is that, from what I've seen, there's no way to actually purchase games if you already have them free on PS+. For example, there have been a number of games on flash sales that I would've liked to truly purchase (in the event I ever stopped using PS+), such as Lone Survivor, but I was unable to because I already had it as a free PS+ game. Unless there's some hidden setting somewhere that I'm missing.

You have to scroll out the "Choose Version" menu as far as I remember, it's available on the SEN Store.

There's no deceit involved, the service terms are worded in easily understandable terms - if you're a PSPlus subscriber, you get to play the free games. Nobody forces you to claim your Instant Game Collection games, they don't magically appear on your account, you have to claim them in the store and you can miss out on them if you forget there's new ones available. You're entitled to take advantage of the IGC, but you don't have to if you don't want to, much like you don't have to show up for a breakfast in a hotel. The games are bound to your account forever - if you run out of Plus, they will be made available to you once you renew your subscription. It's all written in black and white in no uncertain terms, it can't be more obvious. I too would class them as rentals, but it doesn't change the fact that they're free games for subscribers. Don't give me the "inexperienced kid getting tricked" talk - I'm not responsible for people's lack of reading comprehension and neither is Sony. They lay down the terms of the service, and I underline that, the service. Not a good, a service.
you know i could answer this by quoting my every words of my last post....
no deceit?you advertise "free games" everywhere and you hide the important parts in the LONG list of digital paper that you're gonna sign?
i guess you have no heart of a customer if you still reply in this business like way...
you know not all kids are warerzs, there are still pure ones out there(as i once was...but i got corrupted by...you know, the system...)

What the hell are you talking about though? Which part of "free games for PSPlus subscribers" is confusing to you? The message has two important parts to it - free games and having to be a subscriber, where exactly is the problem? It's explained in even more detail on Sony's website, I quote:
PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection (IGC)

The Instant Game Collection is a library of PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games available for you to download and play at no extra cost throughout the course of your PlayStation®Plus membership.

 Source (PlayStation Plus F.A.Q)
What is unclear about this? Where are the lies? This is exactly what they offer - you can download the games, you can play them at no extra cost and you have access to them throughout your PSPlus membership. It's on their website in black and white. Are you expecting me to feel sorry for people who can't read, much to their own detriment? I just can't grasp your point, they're telling you that it's only for PSPlus members and only while they're actively subscribed, they tell you what you're signing up for.

The meaning of "hide" and "double-meaning words" is clear to you?
because that is what is going on.
"free games for PSPlus subscribers" in here it's the use of double meaning words
download and play at no extra cost throughout the course of your PlayStation®Plus membership. here is hiding,or are you telling me that is a spot that everyone gets to read first thing first?
in your mind what the hell do i mean when i say "the system"?

here's an example that someone can relate to:
seven years ago i didn't know a thing about region locking...well i bought an asian 360.who was at fault?me who should know about the region lock or the clerk that knew i was an EU but stayed quiet?by how you answer you know if you're a customer or a business man...
and that is the system and as i quote myself i get that is the way of life and how this society works but are you telling me that you are so coldhearted that you don't feel sorry when an unexperience kid gets tricked by this system?

It's in the Frequently Asked Questions, when you have a question to ask, that's where you go. If that's not enough for you, they also say it in the actual store:
Monthly Games: Get 2 games a month, every month, for your PS4™, PS3™ and PS Vita.*

(...)

*Monthly games are only available throughout the course of the subscription.

If you bought an Asian Xbox 360 and you're surprised that it's not working in a completely different region (I'm guessing you fell victim to the PAL versus NTSC problem, thank god that's gone now), that's your problem, you should've paid attention to what the manual says, or am I expecting too much here? Home consoles have been locked out for decades, it's not a new thing - region free games are. If you missed that bit then you must've been living under a rock, I'm sorry. Each and every 360 game has a clear region designation on the box, so do the systems, did you miss that as well? Is you missing clear labels and descriptions always classed as injustice, or are you just an uninformed and ignorant customer?

business man...

seven years ago i'm not ignorant and uninformed anymore, and what i was getting from the start is that the system hunts upon uninformed and ignorant customers and as i requote myself "i get that is the way of life and how this society works but are you telling me that you are so coldhearted that you don't feel sorry when an unexperience kid gets tricked by this system? "

and with that i'm done with this topic but not before asking all of you to mention that detail the next time you talk about sony's great plus...

I always mention it, I've never done otherwise. I don't feel sorry for anyone who bought something due to being ill-informed not because there was no information provided but because they're ignorant - quite the opposite, I praise making educated decisions and researching purchases, weighing pros and cons etc. Similarly I don't feel sorry for people who eat a spoonful of laxative because they thought it was sugar - I call those people hilariously stupid for not reading the label. Don't subscribe to a service not knowing what you're actually subscribing to - if you don't understand the terms and conditions then you probably shouldn't spend your money.

Let's get one thing straight though - if Sony deceived customers and made them think that they get to keep the free games regardless of the state of their subscription, I would totally be on your side. That's not what they're doing though, they give you the terms of the service on just about every corner. If you willingly ignore information provided to you, that's your prerogative, but don't blame the company for your willful ignorance.

The only anti consumer aspect of PS+ is that you need it for online Multplayer on PS4 but since PS+ is a great service to begin with and my PS4 game library grows even though I don't have a PS4 yet there is really no reason for me not to recommend it. If you wanna watch people who actually have a point talking about what's really wrong with gaming these days then go watch Jim Sterlings "Jimquisition" or TotalBuiscits "Content Patch" on Youtube.

-and if you like so bad to play the business like game among yourself and be so buddy-buddy than an advice:that is an hunting world and you should be careful not to get eaten yourself one of these days cause arrogance is the first step from the abyss

If you're through with this topic, then put your money where your mouth is and stop responding.

Also, don't share your opinions if you can't take the heat of disagreement. Especially on the temp.

50% of gamers are unaware of region locking? Is that why they actively try to have it removed on Nintendo platforms? I also really don't understand the whole business and buddy-buddy accusations - I merely pointed out that you're wrong because you are. You're shifting blame for your poorly researched purchase on Microsoft and a store that sold you an Asian 360 when you're the one who should know what you're buying. You didn't take your time researching the product and you paid the price for it, there is nothing more to it. I'm not trying to be an asshole, I'm just saying that your bad experience was your fault. The same applies to your opinion on PSPlus - you're criticizing Sony for a problem that doesn't exist.

Can you not see that by your absurd standards services like Netflix should be giving you all their content just because you subbed for a month? What you're saying is absolutely ridiculous. If things went by your standards people would just pay for PS plus for a month to get one of the games for cheap and be able to drop it. Your giving them a standard that couldn't possibly work

To be fair, you could say the same thing about Games for Gold on Xbox, and that let's you keep the games forever. The thing is, the number of games and which ones are affected by the fact that you get to keep them permanently. There's a reason you often see games that are relatively new on PS+, but usually not so much on Games for Gold.

Not sure if it's appropriate to bring a dead topic like this , but oh man , I revisited my childhood today. Didn't know I used to argue this much lol . I used to get upset quickly over someone not agreeing with me. Anyways , I had a valid point nonetheless. Going through the discussion again was fun for a while. This is my first post in like 3 years.
It's been quite a long time since I've searched about Vita or its games , how is its present condition? Getting good titles? Going good?
I think it might be the time for Sony's next portable console.

Vita is surprisingly still chugging along, in its own small way. It survives through niche Japanese titles and indie games. Maybe this is just me, but it feels like Vita started getting even MORE indies after Switch came out, with devs figuring they may as well make a Vita version as long as they're making a handheld-friendly version for Switch, anyway. Vita is also a regular subject of physical prints on LRG, which is great (though that'll sadly end soon enough, since Sony is ceasing physical Vita cartridge production at the end of the year).

As for Sony's next portable... Don't get your hopes up. Sony more or less indirectly stated they don't plan to make one. And that's a real shame... Dear goodness, I would give a LOT for Bloodborne: Fear the Old Blood Edition or something like that as a launch title for a Vita successor...
