Oh wait you need to get to the browser in your 3ds and then to that site?

Still glad I kept my 4.5 3DS. Because the fact that I need an internet connection to reactivate the exploit.... Is a huge bummer.
Like I cannot be outside, pull put my 3DS and expect my gateway to be playable...
It's a public beta... There's better be a next version with an offline solution... Because it is rather inconvenient.

For now if you're 4.5+ then you need WiFi and that 3DS internet browser

Yes this also ticks me off greatly. Worse is if gateway-3ds.com goes down then we can't use GW anymore

It seems the web exploit will only work with Gateway 3.0 (from what i've seen)
Downgrade packages will probably be on the Gateway website

yeah but do you have to update the red card though? or can you just put the 3.0 launcher on the sd and go tot he page with the browser and have it work?
the way it is worded on their site makes it seems like the red card update is just some minor optional update that fixes msd compatibility and makes it load faster

Well, having a look at the page, you could probably put a web server on an Android phone and access a copy of the page. It appears to be a big flaw in their browser, but I'm no expert in that regard.

all i can say, is why on earth didn't people read up on gateway before the update was released.....you know get an idea in advance so you dont need to be spoon fed everything

not directed at anyone in particular, but it would of been a good idea, i mean people have had 2 months to read a couple of FAQ pages

Oh I didn't. I took it into account. What is the guarantee that ALL 3DS consoles shall be able to downgrade to that level?
I have a zelda 3DS XL and it didn't exactly come with such firmware.
