By the way, I now think they're situated in a Chinese (or close) timezone.
By the time the countdown is nearing completion, it'll be exactly Thursday morning-noon in China. Which is work hours (if GW team is following regular work hours anyways).
And IIRC, January 8 was also one of the last deadlines we got from their emails.
So I think we should be following a Chinese timezone, like Hong Kong time.

EDIT: Messed up my dates. Changed Friday to Thursday.

They just said within 48 hours, not 48 hours on the dot. Anyway 48 hours sounds better than 2 days anyhow.

Yeah... but if it's not released in a few hours (while it's still afternoon in HK), I definitely think it will be released within that time frame, during Chinese Thursday morning.
They won't be releasing in like, 3 or 4 in the morning. Judging by the countdown's time frame, it kinda makes sense (to me at least).

Hey, for Korea it's tomorrow morning~

OMG, IT IS FINALLY HERE! (Tomorrow will be the best morning of my life)

Yeah Gateway's release schedule is kinda funny. If you go back on their website and check out the times they release stuff, it's all over the place, from early in the morning to late at night and everywhere in between, but those times are based on GMT, but we can conclude they don't have a steady release time. I've asked Chinese resellers about Gateway before and they state they are foreign based. Some people have said they are based somewhere in Europe. If I had to make a guess, maybe in Eastern Europe or Russia, but it's all just conjecture.

Not impossible for them to be a team of people based in multiple regions.

wololo had said the domain was registered from Australia, and the server runs from Malaysia or something.
It's all kinda sketchy since they're an illegal business.
