Nope. The reason being you have to be in gateway mode to launch those installled cias. Otherwise the 3ds just pukes up an error message and says to redownload it from the eshop.

Gateway is going to certainly going to keep this exploit close to their chest, and require the red card at any costs, I would too if I wanted to keep my business afloat. The last thing they want is a new easy way to install custom firmware via their exploit with mii maker.

Yes in the video it was installed to system nand. However if you were to just boot up the console and try to launch that installed channel, it wouldn't run. You have to be in gateway mode to run it because it patches the firmware to launch those custom channels.
