[Shining One]

Hello tempers. A really long time lurker here. I've been lurking around the forums for quite some time, around 2012 I could estimate. I guess you're sort of wondering about the title. "Let's Survive" is sort of my/a motto to me. And all the other titles are extremely overused. I have just now decided to make this debut of an introduction because I stumbled upon this subforum as I was browsing and decided to make a thread. Gbatemp seems like a really friendly if often chaotic gaming community, with some pretty friendly users and others on the opposite side of the spectrum. I hope you guys can enjoy my company.

Oh, and my name. Well, in the game Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2, my icon is referred to as "Shining One" by the Anguished One. I'm going to be sort of trying to play his character during my time here, I hope you don't mind. If someone were to create an account under the name Anguished One I would be oddly most pleased, but only if you fit the character. I would like to see more fans of the game so PM me or reply if you have heard of it or played it. Auf Wiedeserhen.

Ah, I read that in the rules, but it shall be noted that is a bit hard to properly crop on my iOS device. But I think I've got the appropriate cropping. Could you check?

i'm a great fan of the survivor series,played both on ds and currently having my time with the overclocked one on 3ds,and hoping for a 3 one to come out.
though my opinion is that the 2 is better than the 1 on almost everything except the MC.
for some reason i don't like him very much,has some times rather crappy dialogue choices and if you confront him with the MC from 1 you see that MC1 has a wonderful background story while MC2 has just his bulky hair...

I like both devil survivor's on DS equally. I just think 1 was a bit more serious than 2. And somewhat more biblical. I am very much looking forward to playing Overclocked, with full voice acting and another Day! I hope Atlus didn't change the dialogue in anyway, because I loved everything they said and how they acted. Oh, have you heard about the upcoming sequel to DS2, Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor Record Breaker Same changes like it's predecessor, voice acting and such, but they did mention more content was added, most sites are saying an entire new week. This makes me even more excited to play both sequels/remakes.

It seems to me like the protagonist of DS is a bit more playful and humorous than the protagonist of DS2. I like them both equally in my opinion. DS feels as if it were set in 1999, and DS2 2012.

i heard it but like i told you i would have much rather wanted an entire new one than a remake.i loved both the survivor,the persona and smt series but i kind of dislike pointless remakes...
to me Abel was one of the coolest MC for which i ever played,it's not that Shining One was bad...but he's just a let down next to Abel...

New releases adding onto a game series takes money. And if it doesn't live up to it's predecessors it could backfire terribly. They weren't really pointless, they adding full voice acting a somewhat 3D effect. I love them. Abel is cool. Hibiki is cool as well. We're all entitled to our own opinions.

yeah and if you wanna give a reason to you're points instead of replying coldly you will get the purpose of a forum....
those 2 were originally a ds games and not even 3 years went past from the original DS to the overclock version,and for Record Breaker it would be 3-4 years.
Remakes that make sense are the ocarina,majora and ruby and sapphire ones were decades and at least 2 console gen went past them.
By the way have you counted how many g@y moments Shining One had in the game?

Not really much of a cold reply I just sort of type like this, but, ok, my apologies.
You'd think the time and possibility of potential remakes vary due to the demand of one, the hardware choice, and other contributing factors.
Ahahah, yeah, I've seen a few or more of them. At least he's open-minded, you could say.
