quick question. since there probably won't be emunand right off the back I don't think I want to mess around with CIA right away. Is it possible to convert CIA files back to .3ds files?

no idea why would you want to conver .cias to .3ds but i believe its possible.

I want to use my save form shin megami tensei IV and use it with gateway with the shin megami tense IV .cia

E-Mail looks fake. The leaker on here claimed he was provided with a 48 hour QR Code after providing his own model number and FW version. That e-mail just has a "3.0" download link and is littered with dumb things like winky faces and references to someone else's work.

The lack of emunand is only speculation, nobody really knows if we'll have it or not. The argument for some has been: "oh well why would they need emunand unless games required past version X" but that hasn't stopped them making 9.0 emunand and 9.4 emunand possible on a 4.5 device. They know their users want the ability to go online and in the eshop, so why would they not implement the feature if it's something they can already do relatively easily? (also it's the only feature that really sets them apart from competitors)

I'm not making any assumptions, I'll just see what's what when it's released. I'd like all the current features to stay intact and don't see any reason why they'd remove features. But I've no idea really. Best not to assume.

On a more serious note, things do seem to be coming together. A semi-leak via tutorial backed up by a mod at MaxConsole, rumored 5th of January deadlines in alleged emails from GW, etc. At the very minimum if it isn't out by Monday, it's no longer looking like it will be March (ala 2.1).

don't you remember that other fake 3ds hack? the first one ever that people believed for months because they had a bar on the website which went from 5% to 40% and never changed after that?

Somebody set up an email, twitter, facebook, youtube video and a website just to troll people.

I think you're undermining the work of some very dedicated trolls.
