ROM Hack [Request] Dragon Quest VII Translation

I'd like to put in a request for Dragon Quest VII translation on the 3DS.

As right now Square-Enix and still unsure if they going to be localizing the game and even so it would take a year or so when they do decide for it to be released outside of Japan.

I don't speak or read any Japanese so I cannot contribute to a translation project but I'd really like to play the remake on the 3DS in English.

Most of the translation can probably ported over from the PS1 version of the game and corrected if there are any mistakes or any text that can improved upon.

Encryption? You can edit every single textfile of this game in notepad... (no joke).
The game uses UTF8 textfiles and bclyt/darc font files.

Mods should close all translation request threads, just because someone wants a translation doesn't mean someone will actually do it.

A better solution would be just to dupe the PS1 localization as a temporary solution.

I too hope someone translates each of the 3DS Dragon Quest games. Specifically the following:

Agree. Basic rule of thumb - If you can't read/translate said language and you can't find a translation, then it doesn't exist. Also, if you could, would you pour hours of sweat and tears into it if you could just read it yourself unless you were getting paid or had some kind of motivation? Probably not.
