I was wondering if it's possible to use different saves with Sky3ds?

ex. you download a save and "restore" it to a ROM on your micro SD card like its yours

Anyone done this? Does it work?

Thanks

Well, this forum seems like the best place for Sky3DS experimentation. I suppose we could try it and see what happens.

What game(s) did you have in mind?

Preferably Pokemon to be honest because that would mean cloning Pokemon as well as downloading saves that have good stuff on them.

I'd have to download a Pokemon rom to test this

Slight issue there, as Pokemon games are known to be CARD2 format. That means, if we want to back up Pokemon games, we have to back up the entire rom, which we can't share here. Backing up the "save" of a CARD2 game just seems to come out as unsalvageable EEPROM garbage.

Any other games..?

Not that come to mind really. I guess testing any game would work (any Card1 game that is)

Well, let me know if you find anything.

I think the main reason no one is doing it is because all they want are saves for famous CARD2 games. Seems like no one cares about the vast majority of 3DS titles.

I'm on pal so I can't , I'd like to know about this also
You can't *because* you're on "PAL"?

Let's put aside the fact that there's no such thing as a "PAL" 3DS for the moment.

Why would your region make any difference at all to whether you're able to restore a downloaded save to a sky3DS?

It'll either work regardless of region, or it won't work at all (again, regardless of region).

im not having this argument again, his game and saves are US and mine are EUR so there could be an issue, im betting you dont have a sky3ds either.
