It always amuses me to see people making posts to the effect of, "There's no need for a thread like this", or, "Here we go again, discussing (insert anything here)".

It's a forum, folks. I can't see how it REALLY harms anyone that badly to have to scroll past a post that isn't pertinent to their interests. I can't think of a single time that I have made a post here that I actually cared if everyone was interested in the topic.

Don't like it? Keep on scrolling. When you comment on "pointless threads" and topics that weary you, you are kind of participating in and bumping the topic that you don't care about.

Just pointing that out. Carry on.
Irrelevant post discussing irrelevant posts. That logic!!

On topic. The posts are back up, and Gateway will give us what we desire. Not that we deserve it.

Problem is nintendo would probably call for tWitter to remove their account

like hell would that ever happen. Twitter have point blank refused to remove accounts of ISIS/Islamic State terrorists, Al Quaeda, Lizard Squard and other hacking/terrorist groups even after pressure from corporations like Sony and the American and British governments. Why would they give a flying fuck about what Nintendo want?

No explanation is clear when people don't want to understand.
The thing isn't that people don't want to understand. The thing with ambigous terms is that people can interprete those terms in differents ways.
Maybe for one "soon" is a whole month. But for others is days.
Maybe for one "around the corner" is tomorrow. But for other may be "next week" (I interpret a corner like a weekend, so, around the weekend is another week...)
I bet somebody already did this and this might be fake information but a DNS lookup says, the admin of gateway-3ds.com is located in Queensland, Australia...
A simple "who.is" also gives domain info.

Nope. The Privacy Protection Service that Gateway have signed up to in order to hide their details from people is based in Australia.

Registrant Organization: Privacy Protection Service INC d/b/a PrivacyProtect.org
Registrant Street: C/O ID#10760, PO Box 16 Note - Visit PrivacyProtect.org to contact the domain owner/operator Note - Visit PrivacyProtect.org to contact the domain owner/operator
Registrant City: Nobby Beach
Registrant State/Province: Queensland
Registrant Postal Code: QLD 4218
Registrant Country: AU
Registrant Phone: +45.3694667

Gateway themselves could be anywhere.

the same reason why Lizard Squad didn't target Nintendo.

Nintendo is scary :P

Depends on I've seen NSFW accounts banned for no reason yet pro jihad accounts up but generally twitter listend to complaints regarding Comercial companies

Just saying guys, we also don't know how the exploit actually works, it could be insane and very hard to simplify down for so many people. Also, They have to make videos and guides too. Lots of extra stuff they have to do. It seems like they've been working lately. Lots of people have gotten responses from E-mails. Let's hope they release tomorrow.

i love it when people think they will find out who these teams are and where they live from things like whois lookups.......like that wouldn't be the first thing nintendo would so and just be knocking on the door the next day

even if their details where public i highly doubt they would be their real details.....and not only that what you you intend to do if you find them? write a letter and ask them if you can have the FW

Technically they arn't doing anything illegal...

Gateway is the Pirate Bay of 3DS games. They aren't doing anything illegal, but they give access to illegal things.
I guess Gateway is the gateway to piracy *ba-dum-tshh*
Hell, Nintendo is trying to make it illegal.

Yeah, but they have done shit to back them up. A perfect example is the games backup feature that they put in there just to say we're not doing anything illegal
