hello my friends, ive been watching tutorials on how to use the gateway3ds in prep for my usage on my n3ds ll. it is to my understanding, that once you are in EMUNAND, you are stuck in it until you run out of battery or turn off the system? and if you do turn it off, you have to redo the whole process with the blue card?
Let me just say first of all that this is the process for 4.x users. It will likely be different for all the 5.x+ newcomers.

For current (4.x) users:
When you are in emuNAND, to get back into sysNAND you can:
  • Turn off and restart console
  • Run System Settings, then press Close
  • Run SSB, MH4 etc. then Close them (older consoles)
When you turn it off, to start emuNAND again, you just need to go to: System Settings > Other Settings > Profile > Nintendo DS Profile
You do not need to run through the blue card process again. :yaynds:

The main time when you will need to re-run the exploit is when you launch a DS game.
(The other times are when you do a System Format, System Update etc.)

Again, this will likely not be relevant to you if you're going to be using the newer exploit. Rumour has it that we won't need the blue card.

That's why I ordered November 30th to get it December 12th from eachmall.me on cheapest shipping.

Dude wth, i ordered from there on the 4th and it hasn't even reached Canada Post yet...

EDIT: And I paid the standard shipping, not the super saver shipping like you!!!

Yeah, all of 'em are the 'same'. The differences are the input voltages and the physical shape of the pins.

AFAIK they all deliver the same output to the console.
Awesome thanks! Wanted to make sure because I didn't even think of getting a new charger

Found this thread to be hilarious:

Title: Bored waiting, learn English with Gateway, let's all write Gateway letters!!

He goes on to translate all those "terms" Gateway has in their emails and updates.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
