yeah

i dont see how anyone could assume "a few days" is anything over a week. they wouldn't be saying something as definitive as that if it wasn't imminent.

If it's based on the video jumping to mii maker, that's been debunked. I've tested it on my New 3DS myself - if you press ZR (scrolls through the home menu) when on the largest size view for the home menu, it jumps to the same icon space that mii maker is in on the gateway promo. the person demoing it just hit it by mistake, thats all. it's very, very easy to do as its a microswitched button that requires basically no pressure at all really.

of course, it could still be utilizing the mii maker for the initial hack - we have no idea until they release it.

Actually my theory is based on that event but I didn't get it completely from there. I started thinking about a QR exploit when Ninjahax and GW got blocked with the same update. I mean Nintendo couldn't know what GW was doing and it would very difficult to patch something which you don't know if it needs patching. Ninjahax got blocked, GW got blocked - there's nothing to misunderstand here. Ofc it might be engineered to exclusively work with both cards so that nothing goes to waste. You never know.

now that you mentioned it, how are we supposed to use the blue card above fw 6.0? If i remember correctly, wasn't the blue card blocked in fw versions higher than 6.0?
Do you guys suppose the upcoming update may allow the blue card to be used or another method whereby the exploit can be installed?

Gateway won't be using it. You missed Cearp's thread. He put out a .cia to enable DS carts blocked in that giant 5.x Update. I think Bortz took down the link because it was technically sharing warez.

BIG FLYING FUCK to the gateway, they take my money and waste my time - gave nothing in return even in XMAS.
I think they not have any new exploit and their video is fake.

What makes me wonder is that they haven't wrote anything for Christmas yet.
I mean not the update but not even a posting. Which can only mean one thing, combined with that answer from the Chinese thread:
Few days must mean even less than we assume and they're definitely going for that Christmas Eve release. Otherwise they'd at least wish us a Merry Christmas or anything. It must mean they believe they can still make it. *Hoping*

Hey guys, I've been lurking and occasionally posting here for a bit.

I was gonna buy a new 3ds but in an email gateway said I should go for a 4.5 if possible, luckily the area where I live ONLY stocks 4.5 consoles so I grabbed one.
Suffice to say apart from a new (possibly DS cart friendly) entry point, I don't NEED this GW update.

I just dropped in to say Merry Christmas to you all and thanks for making this thread a very enjoyable read, like 2hacks giveaway lol

Let's face it, I doubt the update's coming xmas day, but it'll be here 'soon' lol so keep up the cheerguys and gals.

And have a merry merry merry Christmas (even if you have a temporary paper-weight), and thanks for the smiles and lols.

P.S. If you guys are gonna keep doctoring gateway website screencaps, maybe a santa themed one would be cools. After all, he'll be here 'soon'

Also, quick question, we do have homebrew running outside of ninjhaxx right? Like, .cias and stuff? Maybe a way to use all the 3ds's power, not just the small amount which we get from ninjhaxx?

We certainly do, I've only had issues compiling cia's for 3dsGBA and Blargsnes, for Blarg I think the problem is I'm using 64bit something in my chain, for 3dsGBA I'm not sure??? If anyone has a .cia for 3dsGBA PLEASE PM ME XD I'd love you forever

But yeah, homebrew's great, better than ninjhax from what I here there's no sound issues with Blargsnes and the new3ds's that the gateway .cia builds skirt around with the whole CSND thing.

Oh yeah, that'd be the beest chrissy pressie. Playing Lords of Midnight (Quirky's GBA port) on my 3ds.)

because they knew it would probably be blocked on 9.3, in which case everyone would be crying saying "why didn't they warn us sooner so we knew not to update!!"......either way there would be people complaining, atleast the people complaining in this situation will be able to use it once its released

They could say something about "Don't update until we confirm the new update is safe" or dont say anything until the launch day, but no, you can see they knew the exploit was going to be patched soon. Why? Possibily because the exploit was released in public before.
