Whelp... It looks like Nintendo is lobbying here in the US and to get gateway the R4 treatment = federal offense. So I would like to beat them before it happens... So... My question is.... SKY3DS or gateway?... Which one is better and more future proof?

Sky3ds if you are on a firmware higher than 9.2 otherwise gateway.
Also, read around a little bit before making a new thread. People have explained the differences clearly many times.

I have a old 3ds 4.5 one and my XL is second to newest firmware (still ninjahax capable). Sorry I read both gbatemp reviews and wanted individuals personal opinion about longevity

Gateway is region unlocked, currently works on versions 4.1-4.5, will have an update for 9.2 version soon.

Sky3DS is region locked, and works on any 3DS console with any system version.

if you have a 4.x console gateway is the obvious choice, not only will you be able to use it off the bat on your 4.x console, but once the 9.0-9.2 FW is released you would be able to use the one GW card to play games on both consoles at the same time by installing cia files(you only need to insert the red card to boot up gateway mode from there you can take it out and use it in the other console and still use the cia installed games on the first console until its turned off).....you would need 2 sky3ds to play on 2 different systems if you go with sky3ds

Gateway is the superior product from a reputable company if you can indeed use it.

It has recently come to light that the "No Game Limit" SKY3DS are boasting about is actually just 31 games.

I am awaiting their Green button card with yet another higher limit, if they aren't blocked by Nintendo before then.

GW is better future proof and more trusted. But I think for now I want to buy Sky3DS because i like to live dangerously :)
(I wish they dont release the green button.... that's just stupid )

Really? Just 31?
