Homebrew Wii emulation issues

I was able to put some emulators on mi Wii's SD card, however, althought the emulation is great, I've noticed several issues like for example on the SNES emulator I was not able to use save states and every time I go back after playing a game the emulator REFUSES to recognize the rom list, this same problem occurs with the genesis emulator as well and the system doesn't even recognizes the NES emulator

So what I'm doing wrong? and I'm using emulators from THIS site and the roms I'm using are from my rom collection from the emulators I use for my XBOX

What emulators? What versions? SD card info (brand, class, etc)? Try making a new ROM directory, did you place them in SD:\(emulator name)\ROM or ROMs in the allocated ROM directory. Failing that, try RetroArch Wii. The trouble is you need to be a little more specific if you wish for us to help you, saying simply "Snes emulator" is not enough, there are two Snes emulators on the Wii, Snes9x GX and Snes9x Next.

Are the ROM files zipped, are they uncompressed? We need more info.

My apologies, the rom files are compressed, and I used the Snes9x GX emulators, genplus GX, and fceugx and they're all on the root menu of the Adata 4GB sd card and all the rom files are within their proper folder on the proper emulators, so I have no idea on what I'm doing wrong

I don't know how the emulators support ZIP files, if at all, and I know you won't like this, but maybe decompressing the ROM files in the ROM directories? Failing that, RetroArch Wii? They are in the SD:\Snes9xGx\ROM, yes?

....I'm gonna try that, but it seems odd that It can't support zipped files

.....What? OP, the_ramdomizer's been ODing on the eggnog again, don't take him on!
Your problem is (I'm 95% sure anyway) your SD card - 4Gb sd cards are very dodgy with the Wii, and I remember having similar problems to you ages ago with a PNY 4gb: if you've got another, different sized card knocking around try that - 16Gb sdhc cards are now very cheap (and I suspect 32Gb can be found for around $15).

Alternatively like ramdomizer says try retroarch: you may have better luck with your current card (doubtful). Both SNES & NES games run better anyway

Your problem is (I'm 95% sure anyway) your SD card - 4Gb sd cards are very dodgy with the Wii, and I remember having similar problems to you ages ago with a PNY 4gb: if you've got another, different sized card knocking around try that - 16Gb sdhc cards are now very cheap (and I suspect 32Gb can be found for around $15). Alternatively like ramdomizer says try retroarch: you may have better luck with your current card (doubtful). Also both SNES & NES games run better anyway

Yes, and no. It depends on how the (in this case) emulator is setup. If the emulator is setup to look in the same directory as the rom, but it does not have support for writing into zip files it wont be able to save the save-state. Yes a zip is a file not a directory, but in many cases they are treated the same as a directory. The emulator could also be setup to name the save-state to match the zip file but be expecting the name of the rom in the zip, and because of that not find it.

Oh right cheap in the states maybe, here everything ten times more expensive. but anyway discompressing the files didn't work so I'm gonna give that retroarch thing a try

All true, but as this is snes9xgx, fceugx and genplusgx respectively we're talking about, you're simply incorrect laddie..... (as proven with the poor lad spending time decompressing the files for basically no reason)
4Gb cards are hit & miss, certainly those from lesser known brands on the Wii - he'll doubtless get the emulators running using it, but it'll go tits up looking for the rom directory once loaded. He needs a new card if RetroArch doesn't (and probably won't, sorry OP) fix it. Any 2Gb SD cards knocking about the house OP? Those'll work....

I wont say what the problem is or is not, and I can not be certain unless I have it in front of me. because I don't I am not going to rule out anything.

You could try putting your stuff on a USB drive and see if that works any better.
