Now someone needs to mail them and ask them to post the Nand soldiering points when they release their 9.0-9.2 support

I believe he means to do the NAND HW mod... in case we want to revert something we screwed up, like upgrading past 9.2 by mistake.

This is incorrect, Japan is 100V
East Japan: 50 Hz (Tokyo, Kawasaki, Sapporo, Yokohama, and Sendai)
West Japan: 60 Hz (Okinawa, Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nagoya, Hiroshima)
this makes it confusing as most 120V 60Hz only devices will work in West Japan and run into problems in East Japan from it being 50Hz.

Thanks for the correction. I thought the range was usually 110-120v~. Have a picture of the 3DS AC Adapter?

Exactly!, but I should edit and add that I meant for the N3DS since I noticed topics were made about it but the double circuit board layers seem to make it very difficult to check and i would assume the Gateway team knows how to hardmod it.

They'd most likely need to dump the NAND to do anything with it in the first place. So most likely they've hard modded the system.

Hi, I´m new to this forum, I´m following these topics since announcement of 9x support. And I have some questions.
I want to buy japanese New 3ds from nippon-yasan but im bothering if it comes with 9.3 or 9.4. I read japanese New 3ds come with 8.1 but however if I buy now, I´m worrying that they bring me newest manifactured 3ds and newest version. What is the possibility of this? Thanks

Anyway, i have 9.2 ordinary small 3ds and ordered a gateway, I´m in the hype train too

I'm pretty sure Nippon-Yasan shipments will all be 8.1 for awhile but you never know...
My monster hunter 3ds comes in on Thursday from them... I can't wait, since its the day i finish finals!

Can't say this with 100% certainty but if you order now your Japanese New 3DS should come with 8.1 firmware. As far as I've seen, all Japanese New 3DS's have come with 8.1, and no one on these forums or the Chinese ones have encountered one above that firmware. That's not to say they will not come with 9.3 or 9.4 in the future, but you gotta strike the iron while it's hot with these sort of things.

Oh then I stand corrected, that's even better. Mine came with 8.1 firmware, then I later updated it to 9.2 firmware. If you manage to get a 9.1 console that's really great.

That's actually really worrying, since that means there will be soon a batch of 9.3 and 9.4 N3DSes.
If you want to buy an exploitable N3DS, it's now or never.

It's kinda like gambling at this point, you can get an 8.1 console which is still hackable in the future but not ideal, a 9.1 console which is just what you want to get, or be stuck with a 9.3 console with no hopes of any exploits for a long time. Nintendo just released 9.3 and 9.4, let's see how long it takes to go from the assembly line to stores with that firmware.
