But how do they update the fpga with no external hardware on a vanilla 3ds hmmm that empty-card had a nice idea with the usb updateable fpga.wonder if gateway will now be able to run a FPGA update to allow sky3ds like features too
There are ways to bypass that. What Gateway need to do is release a new cart like Sky3DS plus add all Gateway feayures. This cat & mouse game is what I hate about this. Plus with a cart like Sky3DS you dont have to care about emunand and all that to use it and have all latest Nintendo features and play online. Its just plug & play. Simple.
i mean as long as you have access to a 9.2 or lower FW 3ds you could run a FPGA update(nowhere near as hard as trying to find a 4.x console).....but who knows this new exploit is kinda like a fresh start who knows if they can even run FPGA updates.......although i suppose they said they will support all existing cards on 9.0-9.2, so i guess they will need to figure it out for people who buy the card without the FPGA already updated
