Just wanted to chime in, nippon-yasan is a good site to import stuff.

can confirm. only downside is they take too long to ship out products. ordered my n3ds on Dec 1st using Fedex priority, received it today a week later

I don't know if it's been pointed out, but it seems to be possible to use the online functions in Pokemon while on 1.1 and without the latest 3DS update.

Same with smash. I have current smash update, and am on 9.2, so online works.

Ah, the good old "improved system stability and security" update. Translation from corporate terms to regular people speak "Yeah, you guys are running harmless unsigned code that some hobbiest dev spent many hours creating, we don't like that. Here have a new firmware update. Love, nintendo xx"

just a question can you still go online with pokemon or/as with the latest update 1.2?
You should be able to. I was able to play Smash 4 online on 9.2, so you should be able to play Pokemon with no problems as well. The only thing you won't be able to do is access the eShop to update any patches, so be warned.

Nintendo, you dicks! There was no need to block Ninjhax when it doesn't allow for rom loading

but it does allow you to use emulators, which allows people to play old video games for free, instead of paying for them through virtual console. Its also possible, that the ninjhax could eventually lead up to playing 3ds games for free. I bet if it wasnt for emulators, most people wouldnt even bother with homebrew (I would) but I imagine most wouldnt

I think you should have probably read up on the update before unleashing your tired canned response.

If you'd used the time spent looking for that picture to read the changelog you'd realise it's not just another "improved system stability and security" update.

In looks like the only casualty was a single later stage exploit. At least two other ninjas exploits remain unpatched, DS carts that worked under 9.2 still work, and (as one would expect); sky3DS still works.

This isn't the world ending update everyone was expecting. It was primarily an update for Japan to enable some NFC payment options. For the rest of the world it just added some extra functionality; namely to theme settings and extended settings for Amiibo.

There is also a chance it got shipped with 9.1J

Really? I didn't hear about this anywhere. I got it from Amazon Japan so hopefully they're restocking often enough to get one of the newer ones. If not, I'll just hope, pray, and hope some more Gateway didn't show their exploit in the recent video because they knew 9.3 was around the corner and their exploit doesn't rely on Smea's exploit.

Don't quote me on it (I guess you already did) but I read that the later shipments were loaded with 9.1J.

Hope I'm right.

EDIT: This is part of what led me to believe it. I've heard some are 9.1.
