I shit you not. EDIT: I think you were assuming I paid only $20 for the shipping+the Gateway. I mean I paid $20 for the shipping, the whole thing in total was like $100 CAD.

You are correct, I misunderstood you. Thought you paid $20 only for the card. My bad.

Why is everyone buying the N3DS, won't it work on normal 3ds on 9.2?

Well ..

Here's the reasons why I'D buy one:

  • Smexy looking son of a bish
  • 'those SNES buttons though (if regular N3DS)
  • Matte covering, yummy
  • Quad-Core CPU, makes my loadings faster (most likely) and less lag in Pokemon (I assume) with 3D on.
  • Exclusive games (+ added functionality in Majora's Mask, for example)
  • Uses Micro SD's instead of SD's for storage (personal preference)
  • Much better 3D effect. Lauded by many as so damn superior.
  • Auto-brightness control
  • Longer battery life
  • Slightly bigger screens in normal N3DS
  • Faster GPU (right?)
  • Faceplates on regular N3DS
  • C-STICK !!!
  • Extra.. Shoulder buttons? Should be useful somewhat
And those are about the only ones I can remember (most likely the only ones to be honest lol)

anybody have ANY SORT OF IDEA when NA will get n3ds? i doubt it will be janurary lol

Ninty didn't really announce a season or specific month. They just said 2015. The most obvious assumption is Spring. Spring is compromised of March, April and May, so there's that.

At best, a March release.

Though if Nintendo's smart they won't take too long. Times have changed, and people know, unlike 20 years ago which basicly meant whatever you had in your country right now, was "new".

So what's the deal with DLC and Gateway? Do you need to purchase them? I'm having a hard time finding up to date information on this.

Nah, Im good without cheats B-) I guess ill just use the multirom menu.
I personally never understood the appeal of cheats either. "Hey, I know what'll be fun, removing all challenge from this game!".

There are those that just go ADD and don't like doing all the challenges, which I do find stupid because that's why you buy a game. Then there are cheats for those that add an extra amount of fun to it, just to mess around.

I wish there was SOME way to disable cheats for online play.

If you wanna' go and cheat your way in Single-Player, fine, be my guest. It's your experience, not mine. But if you want to ruin other's experience, that's an instant no-no.

That's why I'm SO against cheats in cards like Gateway. The damn thing was freaking RAMPANT in the DS.

blame the system not the player. Nintendo is at fault for having an incompetent online service (although it is free, so there's that). I mean if they could ban people who cheat online like microsoft does with 360 then the issue would be solved.

Cheats are not all about completing the game instantly. They can change gameplay, cause weird glitches and so on.

I only use cheats after I've finished the game one or two times. It's fun just 1 hitting things.
