I placed an order at Eachmall yesterday and today I get a mail asking for a photo of my credit card and some ID. Is this standard? This seems very dubious to me.
No worries, you can censor any sensitive parts like the card number. I've had to do the same a couple of times for different sites, can't remember if I did it for Eachmall or not.
Basically they just want to confirm your identity. Why they would care, I don't know. Maybe it's to avoid fraud?

paying with western union is simple, I paid it that way. you go in a place where they offer the service, give the money and the payment details, sign 1 or 2 things and they do the rest. search for "western union points" or something like that for your city.
Maybe, but it gives you no way to charge back the money in case of problems, and they charge a hefty 10% fee.

Pox
As a Swedish, what shipment and payment options were available?
What methods of shipment and payment you used?

2 months? Seriously? F*ck! That's a lot of time.
I thought that free shipping from china was normaly 15-45 days.
How much they charged you for a faster shipping method? (you can not ask if you wish, it's only curiosity)

Extra $4.50 for 6-8 day shipping.

Thats really nice and cheap! :)

On topic about Yeah Geek, although the e-mail says "Registered Air Mail Switzerland" the online tracking link they gave me, links me to espeedpost, a chinese (I supose) logistic company.
And it cleary says that it From: Singapore - To: Spain.
In the "Shippment information" also says: "Service: Registered Air Mail Switzerland"... I don't know what is this... Could be posible that they send to Switzerland, and then, with Stwitz Airmail to Spain?
Assumptions, assumptions every where.

Just sit back, relax, and wait for it to arrive.

Yeah, I know.
I'm only curious about the trip the GW will do.
I studied an small course in logistic, so maybe that's why I'm so curious about the procedure of this international transport.

But I'll chill out and play my bought "Musta Hanta Tri Ultimeit" to enjoy the wait! ;)

In eachmall.me you can pay with Visa/Mastercard with no verification by using "GC payement".
I just ordered a Gateway and 1 day after it's already shipped. I hope that it doesn't make too long time to go to France !
I prefer eachmall rather than Yeahgeek : Same price but eachmall is much know and bigger. It is just more reassuring, even if there is no big difference. Also i have been reading a lot about eachmall in french forums.

Same problem with TC. Tried ordering 2 GW cards from Eachmall.me and the only payment method for me is Western Union. I want to pay via PayPal so I contacted them but no reply.

Yeah, they can't use PayPal, as their account was suspended and whatnot. TenPay is good though, but if you can only do Western Union, eeeep...

Well they asked me also for creditcard proof when I tried to order by them.
Then got the hands on a visacard and ordered by yeahgeek.

To be fair to Eachmall they have responded quickly to my emails, but I'm just not going to send such images. call me paranoid, but there you go.

Fair enough. It seems a bit excessive to require such things. I'm personally not a fan of it, and would prefer if they didn't, but I can deal with it.

I never had a problem with eachmall, thier .me or .com sites. I just received my gateway today, it looks like it was straight from the factory, the cards had no sticker on them but it was included in the little sandwich bag the whole order came in, it even came with unused gateway box lol. I ordered it on 11/25 btw

I ordered a Gateway from eachmall, didn't receive anything after 3 months, contacted their support on several occasions, refused to ship another one, not recommended.

I bought from Eachmall almost a year ago with free shipping (to the US), and the shipping was over a month. For most people it's probably not worth the wait.

Western Union transfer is worth $16 here thats why Paypal is more desirable :( I'm thinking of nds-card.com but is $80 there against the $60 in Eachmall.
