All this scene moving was too fast.
It would be better if all these hacks and cards were released after new 3DS release in US/EU

Gateway has already announced the exploit. As a result I have little doubt that Nintendo will wait to release the NA n3ds until they've had a chance to patch the exploit. So I strongly doubt that Gateway will wait until after the NA n3ds release (waiting games with Nintendo will last a long time). If they were planning to do that they wouldn't have announced the exploit until at least the NA n3ds release date was announced. Unfortunately, NA n3ds will be all patched. Too bad, gateway could have reached a bigger hardware market if they just kept quiet a little longer. It was sky3ds that pushed them to spill the beans.
Nah, of course they'll wait until the new 3ds is out in the whole world.
They just announced it to stop people from buying Sky3DS's shitty carts.

What makes you think that Nintendo® does not have the USA already prepared? Do you believe they would throw out everything already designed and "possible" items in stock and redo everything to patch an "exploit" that is not even available?
Also, between JP, EUR and US the hardware is the same, what changes is the software only. So patching USA would only occur in the software level (at least for now, if a hardware revision is needed to patch the GW for good), and patching USA would mean patching JP and EUR. So again, how could they patch something that's not launched yet?

On a side note, revealing a new "exploit" does not mean necessarily they will release it now, or tomorrow, or anytime soon... They could pretty much wait until NN3DS to be released in the US... or not :) who knows :)

So far, we only know they made it but no one knows (aside from them, ofc) how the new exploit works

Cheers!

You seem confident. Prove it, convince me.
I just can't see it happening, it seems irresponsible to me.

I can see the future:P Nah, I'm confident it is System Nand. Otherwise come back and update this, if it is not at a later dateB-)

But seriously, people are speculating too much, yet I only speculate it's a full kernel exploit. There where rumors of them having a 6.xx exploit months and months ago, so who knows, if this is true and what they had, they turned it into finding one for 9.xx.

I honestly hope they won't wait for USA and EUR. That'll take so long! And if they wanted to do that, they'd release the video much later.

It coincides perfectly with Christmas too.

Also, according to Garyopa, they're just waiting to finish internal testing on AUS 3DS.

Yeah, because you euroguys already got the first EUR N3DS models through Australia (not that I care about buying an expensive N3DS though).
I know it sounds "convenient" but I can't import an AUS 3ds and I won't even be able to buy one launch date here (Portugal) so ... I'm limited to the 3ds I have, I just want to use the Gateway I have ASAP :) ..

Don't listen to that horseshit prick over at maxconsole.

I have bought a jap n3ds just yesterday, hoping this update will came asap.

I was wondering if there will be a method to play my retail eur version of alpha sapphire on it (using the gw in some way), or if I have to buy a new copy from japan. (If it is so, I'll stop playing where I'm now and sell it) and also if i can play online with it (if i can use my eur version, or if some patch of the game come out and i'm stuck on 9.x)

No emunand support yet

Gateway supports region-free, so you should just wait for them to release the update for 9.2

Not only that, what he said contradicts the video. You can clearly see a JN3DS, while he said they ordered AUS N3DS.

The email doesn't say that. You're just speculating.
Why shouldn't emuNAND work? They have a working kernel exploit, what's stopping them?

Little OFFTOPIC:
I sold my EUR 3DS (normal) yesterday and I'm saving that money to buy a NN3DS :P It was almost forgotten in a drawer and I almost never used it.
I was hoping I could use it with my EUR Fantasy Life save (before we figure out we could export/import the saves to use it with the US game.
I'm kind of itching to import a PAL NN3DS :rofl2: But I was wondering If I could use the EUR console online capabilities in full being here in Brazil.
I'm kind of "cautious" in importing because I tried to buy the DLC in my EUR console back then I only got errors so my question is:

Will I be able to use the online features and buy eShop things with a EUR console being in another country?

I'm not sure about that, and this would be the only hold back for me importing a the NN3DS from AUS.

Of course you can... Nintendo is not that restrictive (or at least they haven't thought on this yet).

Yes. Online/Eshop will work. Region lock for original carts, so EU carts only and then wait for GW multi region for roms. No word on Classic mode for real carts.

I have ordered a JP console, so JP online/Eshop and JP original carts for me. I'm UK based.
