Hardware Does the NEW 3DS XL have better resolution over the normal XL?

I'm considering getting a new 3DS XL but I already have a normal XL. I'll consider upgrading if it has a higher resolution (I can care less for the most part about the upgraded processing power) especially since the New 3ds can run homebrew.

Has anybody had both in their hand? How is the resolution on the New Xl? I always somewhat hated the terrible pixel density on the old 3DS XL. If nintendo didn't bother to improve it I'm going to stick with my old xl. Can anyone give any insight on this?

The hardware is identical. Just had two extra cores for an os speed boost and the cstick for the most part

I've heard that some, and hopefully most games from now on. will in a way take use of the extra power without being exclusive. apparently mh4u is able to maintain constant 60fps but a normal 3ds hangs around 30fps.

sadly the screens are the same res. it may be a better screen but from what I've heard it looks the same, but the 3d effect is much much better.

I can't believe they'd use the same resolution...perhaps it's the limitation of the games themselves as they only can display a lower res. But at least I'd have liked to have seen the New 3dsxl be CAPABLE of higher res (or at least pixel density) so the games supposedly exclusive to it could take advantage. ..

What's the point of increasing the viewing angle of the 3ds Xl without at least upping the res nintendo??

Nintendo NEVER changes the screen resolution of a system within the same product line. In fact, I can't think of a single company that would. If its a 3DS then it's going to have the same screen resolution, just like the DS vs DSLite vs DSi, or GBA vs GBASP or Gameboy vs Gameboy Colour.

There is no reason to assume that this would EVER happen.
