great news, guess I'll be trading in my 3DS XL for a New 3DS XL. you guys outside of Australia/NewZealand/Japan must be jealous that we already have the N3DSXL.
I love that this is the final nail in the coffin for the OG 3DS XL, I have been tempted to get a limited edition 3DS XL but now that it's obsolete there's no reason to. It makes it alot easier to decide what unit to get.

So i definitely want to import an N3ds now but if the jp n3ds comes with an 8.x firmware and nintendo releases an update before i get it i could be shit out of luck. or is there a game out there that would update the console to 9.x without using the interwebs?

Honestly, we get a lot of stuff late. Being jealous would be a little hypocritical. The market here is just strong for the 3DS.

Just ordered through WCRepairs, order was processed instantly. Crossing my fingers!
Ordering through here cost even less than the other one I tried. Gateway 3DS (No SD card) + insurance + USPS priority mail (1-3 days) was only $78.23

Edit: Bank allowed the payment to go through without a problem.

I dont post often but I just wanted to let people know I ordered from modchipdirect at the end of October and got the same message I had to call my bank and have them authorize the charge the payment company they go through is foreign so most us banks block the charge unless you tell them to authorize it. I got my gateway in about a week after ordered along with a 4.5 xl I ordered from eBay.

I'm fairly sure it has nothing to do with Mii maker. It looks like she just hit the R trigger with her finger when she puts it down.

EDIT: I just tried this and it and R trigger doesn't move the menu to the right. I uess I'm just remembering things wrong.
On the New 3DS XL, the ZR button moves the menu accross. So yeah, I think she just tapped the ZR button by accident.

This news made my day.
With wich languages will come the N3DS AU? I can deal with english without problem but if it have spanish better.
There is a Spanish option.

Finally, The Speculation storm has ended, or has it? The Gateway Team finally released a video demonstrating the use of the Gateway 3DS on a recent model of the Nintendo 3DS, confirming that they are about to enable support for recent 3DS firmwares.

Good stuff, i would from the 10 minutes i've spent since looking at this say (although i'm probably way off) they have a kernel exploit related/combination off the mii channel the sd card, and qr codes. I will say that i think gw will tread lightly on privileges and use kill code to try to prevent a simple reproduction without a need for a cart.

Other devs know of this exploit, and really if integrity and piracy is key to them then why let companies profit for it unless a) your scared of Nintendo (like graf with ps3) or b) on the take.

Like the ps3 scene earlier on, dev Deank does lots of freebie's in an anti-piracy method but is the biggest dev for cobra and on the take big time to release minimal teasers for cfw users with full functionality if you buy a (hardware) cobra usb dongle.

Maybe, just maybe, with all the time, effort, server requirenments?/server costs etc our own exploit homebrew dev might be a sheep in wolves clothing, setting him or her self up with community teasers on one side and a for profit situation without ramification from nintendo on the other. Money rules the world don't forget.

If thats the case and your not on the take, show some integrity now, anonymously shut them down with a scene release......

Cobra dongle is opensource now. Most CFW's have cobra built in now lol.

Alright people in the united states, try not to rush to gateway stores to buy this because I am intending on buying one tomorrow and I will be sorely disappointed if they are sold out. Try to take time to give gateway that sweet new income stream.

I ordered my Gateway from ModChipsDirect a few hours ago and just got my tracking number. It's a shame so many people are having issues with them.

I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro
    +1
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    lol wireless charging
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    how is wireless charging possible?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Dbz said everyone has raging energy senses

  • cearp @ cearp:
you mean generally, how does the concept work?
    +1
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Copper conducting electricity or something
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Two good videos from ElectroBOOM that touch on the subject:

Elements on earth are actually more powerful than we think
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Wow I can't believe I've been watching ElectroBOOM for that long. I remember when that first video came out lol
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Sicklyboy, i think wire chargers are more practical
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
but im too stupid to know
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Wired is better for faster charge but if you just leave it all night while you sleep it's good
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Most wireless pads can only max 15w while average bricks are 65w
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@K3Nv2, i heard it isnt good
