The Japanese normal one is calling me.

£110, god damn that is cheap.

I already have a normal 4.5 XL, but the coloured buttons and the changeable plates are on the normal edition are really nice.

And at that sort of price, even if it ends up like the dsi (not many exclusives) I can justify it.

Damn you Gateway and damn you tjexp for showing such cheap 3ds'

My pay comes in soon and I'll grab it :toot:

Question (even though it isn't the best place to ask it):

3 or so pages back, a user said one of the advantages to using EmuNAND was a safeguard measure due to bad .CIA's ? What's that supposed to mean? Can we wreck sysNAND if we install a corrupted .CIA (are there even corrupt .CIAs?)

sounds like one of the half truths I'll say.
truth is: probably not, just uninstall the .cia

but the thing is, you will never know for sure.
tinkering with sysnand is bad mojo.

A good 1 or 2 years back,
a guy tried to modify his sysnand to test cloning apps and crap.
at the end of the day, he corrupted it, injected his original sysnand,
and it still fails to boot properly.
Try searching old threads: he was asking for help but was ignored cause no one could help him.

thing is, if your sysnand does corrupt, how do you intend to restore it?

for emunand, it's as easy as swapping data in a partition.

but for sysnand, opening the 3ds, soldering, etc.
Are these things up your alley?

Holy crap, the N3DS is really cheap (considerably) and import costs to Portugal are just +10€. Marvelous!

Oh I see.. Thank you for the enlightnment!
So .CIA's basicly tinkering with sysNAND eh? Guess I'll wait until they actually confirm emuNAND before venturing towards eShop games.

Well that's homebrew for you - there's always the chance of installing a bad file and it corrupting your firmware somehow and bricking it, specially on a scene that pretty much just started recently. emuNAND is a precaution.

Wow, 11 pages in just 3 hours.

Anyway, I would feel sorry for all the lemmings who purchased the Sky3DS, but it's their own damn fault for being so naive and impatient. Anyone with a grain of common sense would have known to wait a little while for a better solution for rom loading on 9.x to surface.

Long live the king!

Golden words I live by like a rule.

Also make constant and multiple backup over time, onto different mediums.

Hard drives crash? CDs!
CDs becoming not readable? Cloud drives.
Cloud drives leak your nudes went bust? You must be unlucky...

Did they get rid of GW mode?it seems the cart works directly from 3DS menu without entering
Sittings(or they already did this step? but they usually capture it)
